Promising start to the series last night - just as The Guardian promised, Prime Suspect meets State of Play with a bit of Wallander (i.e. Scandinavian and with subtitles). Really moving scene where the couple whose daughter's body had been found then tried to explain it to their younger children.

Anyone else see it?

wigwam what made your dp guess vagn?
dp and i both marked him down as a contender because he was so creepy - and the way he asked "do they know who did it?" in a worried way quite early on, but have only become convinced as the story has played out

Fivecentsplease · 12/03/2011 23:22

Lunds using removal men, isn't she - does the slippery Leon work for other firms? Is he the hall lurker?

wonder if the leon casually called vagn to say "guess who i just had in my cab?" Hmm

fivecents think you are right - leon's a last minute scarlet fish!!

teej · 12/03/2011 23:24

proles i know - "first the norwegian..." Grin

on that note - can see why she was pissed at bengt but no reason to kick him out of bed, surely?!

Fivecentsplease · 12/03/2011 23:25

Is Leon the cabby (part time?) God did I miss that?

actually feel quite sorry for shagaround - he was obvs in love with her and didn't attack her in the flat as i suspected - feel a bit bad really

but holding a police officer hostage at gunpoint is a really dumb thing to do. nevertheless, once it's proven he isn't nanna's killer i think meyer might have to move onto another desk job, no?

wigwam - that might mean space in bengt's hot tub for some time yet Wink

smugmumofboys · 12/03/2011 23:29

Loved it. Lund is so intense.

Love Troels and love Meyer. Am also in NW town - I want a Troels-alike sighting.

I just remembered that I thought I caught sight of a black wolly hat in the first ep. Tbh, I think I'll be disappointed if it's Vagn. It was almost too obvious at the beginning. He's defo hiding something.

teej, think it was a lucky guess really. And he does look shifty.

Oh the plus side, at least we know Shagaround was responsible for the ugly boots.

Fivecentsplease · 12/03/2011 23:31

The boots must be why she chucked him.

wigwam1973 · 12/03/2011 23:34

Teej, Grin at the thought of Bengt's empty hot tub.

Also feel slightly sorry for Shagaround. Those staged cheesy pics of him with Nanna were slightly vom-inducing.

Is Leon the cab driver? I missed that too.

teej · 12/03/2011 23:35

about the boots - totally. "YOU think I would wear THOSE???? DUMPED mate!!!"

wigwam1973 · 12/03/2011 23:35

Five cents - I'm with you on that one. That's why she stashed them in her wardrobe. Ashamed to be seen out in them.

wigwam1973 · 12/03/2011 23:37

What was Pernille thinking? And was Vagn trying to put her tights on for her? Strike anyone else as rather odd/inappropriate, even though she was doing one of her stares.

wigwam1973 · 12/03/2011 23:38

Handy that Lund knew of a lip reading expert who worked in a laundry. Hmm

Fivecentsplease · 12/03/2011 23:39

Perhaps her dishwasher had bust again. Wink

teej · 12/03/2011 23:40

yup - the cab driver is leon and he seems to OWE theis and vagn big time
wigwam like your theory he was linked to the drug dealer but they offered to let him off if he reformed his ways; they helped him out by giving him a job till he got on his feet and then he took up taxi driving

wigwam - was that laundry place maybe actually a charity for the deaf or something so lund went for advice on someone who could lip read, and that girl just happened to work there too and be available?

feels like some explanatory footage was cut out of the script at that point! or maybe there was a sign we missed?
