The Killing - latest Eurocrime from BBC4

Promising start to the series last night - just as The Guardian promised, Prime Suspect meets State of Play with a bit of Wallander (i.e. Scandinavian and with subtitles). Really moving scene where the couple whose daughter's body had been found then tried to explain it to their younger children.

Anyone else see it?

Well, you'd think so, wouldn't you? He's a politician, he'd be wearing a watch all the time, wouldn't he? I'd assume he'd spent Sunday night with her.

There was something about the phone calls, wasn't there? She said she'd been with him all the weekend. Then she was caught out by a record of her phoning his mobile (several times, I think.) Then she admitted she didn't know where he was. She didn't say "I didn't see him until Sunday night", did she?

Habbibu I think Buchard was replaced because the big dark force that is operating through city hall pulled it's contacts in, and got Brix, a Bremmer man, to take over, who wants Troels out of the way at any cost.

As with the perpetrator, I'm sure we have already met The Concrete Floor, and just need to choose which one.

Weeeeeeell atswim - not much change from my ready meal pack, but the 3p I have over is on The Latvian Sex Group for the rape bit.
But possibly Mortenn, as I don't know where he was, and havn't spotted a Mrs Mortenn, keeping him on the straight and narrow.

However, I might bet my (unnecessary) plastic trays on Vagn as a side bet, as he twists the knife in the Theis Pernille plot.

but was that the sunday or the monday Confused
have to say the suicide scene does not quite pan out logically but i think it's one of the things we just have to run with...

however can i say - not convinced on troels and nanna - his other shags seemed normal for his age iykwim so a teenager might be stretching it a bit..

hab i also think morten is gay and has a guycrush on troels. after all why should he be any different from the rest of us?!

morten being gay would also exempt him from the attack on nanna....

here's a thought - maybe he needed new shoes because troels vommed all over his old shoes when his system was getting rid of all the booze/pills/gas?

or - what if he didn't try to gass himself, what if it was pills and does not want to admit to that because it's a more premeditated, serious and active way to try and end it all than a gassing that might at a stretch be explained away as drunken nonsense?
