Promising start to the series last night - just as The Guardian promised, Prime Suspect meets State of Play with a bit of Wallander (i.e. Scandinavian and with subtitles). Really moving scene where the couple whose daughter's body had been found then tried to explain it to their younger children.

Anyone else see it?

Knitter someone said that her bike was stolen from outside the house. I don't remember that - I thought the police found it there.

Oh god now we have to consider the bike, too!

Fivecentsplease · 11/03/2011 17:14

Knitter perhaps she got a call saying come quick, as whoever was setting up Troels had seen an opportunity - ie Troels leaving the flat pissed? Can't remember if the Taxi driver gave a time of her ride. Why don't they ask the ex dating woman of Troels more questions, as she was hanging around for ages outside, and would have seen more!

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 17:18

Has a taxi driver confirmed he took Troels to his country house?

The taxi driver who gave Nanna a lift didn't give a precise time (as far as I remember) but it verified what her teacher had said.

I'd forgotten about the woman Troels had been dating!

teej · 11/03/2011 17:18

the GeneGenie... fire up the quattro!

wigwam1973 · 11/03/2011 18:22

Wow. Lots of action on this thread today. I like the idea of her calling Vagn to rescue her from initial attacker (surely she knew that Theis/Pernille & boys were away for weekend).

She must have had a crush on Rama to take books to his house at that time of night. There can be no other reason, and he must have told her he wasn't interested.

So, perhaps she called Faust (they did check her mobile phone records, didn't they, and didn't the old police boss (whose name escapes me) delete Troel's number from the list of calls) and arranges to meet at flat. Goes there and instead of Faust, Morten is waiting for her.

Could that be possible? V tired today and not feeling great, so excuse rubbish theorising.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

Fivecentsplease · 11/03/2011 18:22

To add to your reverie, teej, wouldn't Wallander (Krister) and Inspector Morse be a fine blend, being grumpy at each other over a pint.

Also, Meyer and Gene would work well together. Smile

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 18:30

No, he deleted A number, but we don't know whose number. Maybe Lund could ask him?

I don't think she'd call Vagn, that's the trouble. Maybe she drove home and he was there for some reason? He's always pottering about.

I still think Pernille's sister's involved in some way. If only there was a way they could ALL be involved!

teej · 11/03/2011 18:33

atswim that storyline (they are all guilty) is copyright agatha christe!

fivecents krister and morse would probably also grump to each other about which classical music CD should be on the hi-fi!

teej · 11/03/2011 18:37

can't wait for tomorrow night!

interesting theories about rama, although hope you don't mind i really hope they are wrong! shagging around on a pg wife is just so shitty and cliched.

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 18:42

Rama's extremely attractive, though, particularly to a young girl. I can see why she would fancy him. However, I think she's drawn to the power, which means Troels, doesn't it?

muminlondon · 11/03/2011 19:03

But how are Dessau and Holck involved? Just because the car was in the garage doesn't mean it was Holck who knocked Olav down. When will they hack into Olav's computer and find out who was giving him orders and booking Troels' flat? Both Morten and Rie know the password.

I can't keep up with this thread! It's almost as much fun as the prog Smile

Loving the new ideas coming out and am now for the first time suspecting Vagn as hadn't thought about the fact he had keys to the garage, and Theis and Pernille were at the seaside so he could do as he liked. That would make it all the more tragic if it happened in their own home.

atswim I got the impression Pernille was unaware of the new house as Theis had bought it and was doing it up as a surprise. Nanna was going to have her own floor as she wanted space. Pernille didn't find out about it until she cycled out that day to find Theis. Poor Pernille and Theis Sad

Someone asked (sorry, I have just caught up with 5 pages and can't remember who it was!) about the DNA. The forensics said the rapist(s) used condoms, hence no traces, plus the fact she was in water after.

cornerstone75 · 11/03/2011 19:11

I agree that Rama is v.attractive. Not as attractive as Troels though. But more attractive than Bremer's cute communications adviser. I am watching this programme for the plotlines, honest Blush

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 19:14

But cornerstone when an assault takes place, the perpetrator leaves DNA in other ways than semen. And using a condom would still mean taking it off, semen drops on the floor, in the bathroom, etc.

I just can't see how there was no trace at all.

Of course if it was a woman who'd assaulted her then there would be no semen. Just to stir things up a little!

cornerstone75 · 11/03/2011 19:28

Sorry, I found it...was responding to aloiseb:

"how did Nanna be so forensically clean that after multiple rapes etc, there was NO trace of DNA of the rapist?"

I assumed aloise meant on Nanna's body, I totally agree that it's odd there are no DNA traces at the scene....especially the flat which looked like a forensic scientist's dream

Also UpSince I think you really should go with UpCrack love it Grin

cornerstone75 · 11/03/2011 19:30

aaah atswim by a woman, you wouldn't mean Charlotte by any chance? Wink

muminlondon · 11/03/2011 19:31

I'm so convinced it isn't Troels but then again, what is the possibility that Lars Mikkelsen didn't know his character dunnit before he was told he had?!

OP posts:
atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 19:35

There are only two women it could be. Rie, who could be reacting to finding out Troels has a young girlfriend, or Charlotte, who really has no motive but does mix with some very dodgy people.

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 19:36

Sorry, muminlondon pass that one by me again? I'm exhausted by all this!

cornerstone75 · 11/03/2011 19:41

Rie's too tiny to be able to inflict any damage Smile She's definitely a nasty character though.
Unless of course she had henchmen...Couldn't be Morten as they obvs hated each other at the start (of the prog).

I think Charlotte may know more, probably a lot more about what happened, but can't believe she would be actively involved.

muminlondon I can't believe it's Troels either. Because, um, he is just too beautiful.

Habbibu · 11/03/2011 19:42

Hmm. I think that the actor playing the murderer would know, even if the others were kept in the dark, as the acting wouldn't really work otherwise, iyswim? You want to play plausible liar in that case, not "completely unaware I'm a murderer" - it'd be strange.

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 19:47

cornerstone75 I've got to the point where, if Troels has done it, I'm first in the queue for prison visiting.

cornerstone75 · 11/03/2011 19:51

ROFL atswim I'm right behind you!

muminlondon · 11/03/2011 20:01

Just wondering if the whole point about Troels is that he is a pathological liar and split personality who can believe one thing and convince you of anything!

OP posts:
wigwam1973 · 11/03/2011 20:11

Muminlondon - I think you have a point. Remember, he's a politician, and very eloquent....... I think he did have a thing with Nanna - most men would be flattered by the attention of a nubile young 19 year old, wouldn't they?
