Promising start to the series last night - just as The Guardian promised, Prime Suspect meets State of Play with a bit of Wallander (i.e. Scandinavian and with subtitles). Really moving scene where the couple whose daughter's body had been found then tried to explain it to their younger children.

Anyone else see it?

this is so agatha. at this point we could turn round to any number of people and point the finger and exclaim, "it was you!!!" because there are so many holes in the whole thing
fivecents ROFL at the muddy footprints around city hall - unless we have bought a new pair of shoes recently, which means it was YOU, morten!

Fivecentsplease · 09/03/2011 21:58

Have just read this Jo Nesbo book (going for total immersion, here), where the solving of one crime culminates in the exposure of a larger one that is linked circumstanially. to the first...it could be that pattern, hence the enormous number of leads but the impossibility of linking them all together,

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 21:59

Oh god, I'm driven mad here!

Lmao @ needing a torch with night vision goggles! Sorry, can't stop laughing at that!

OK I think the garage mechanic cleaned her fingernails and washed her and drowned her. He loved her and we know it's an act of love.

Gah, just realised she was killed in a town hall car. Umm well maybe he rescued her from the flat... no, sorry, way off here.

Really good fun talking about it with you all, though, even though this contribution is so crap.

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:00

I think in the second to last episode someone will be waiting in Lund's hallway.

Fivecentsplease · 09/03/2011 22:08

are you having a crystal ball moment atswim.....keep going!
Was that Holcks garage, or a public one, with the car? What a wierd way of Lund to peek under a tarpaulin, yoinking the whole thing off in a "ta-da!"

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:11

Yes, it was like she knew we were watching!

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:13

It was at the County Hall, wasn't it? The leader of the Coalition went in to 'find the hotel details' - bit like in Crossroads when someone would go into the kitchen and never come out again. The lights (and I daresay) his lights went off then.

I think Holks (Dirty old Shagaround to his friends). Do we think Lund's gun is loaded?

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:20

I'm like that, too, Prolesworth. I've never known anything as complicated!

I've got to the point where I think I'm going to have to start watching them again, because there are so many clues I've missed.

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:21

Wigwam, you know that car at the end of the last programme? Lund took the gun out of the gun compartment. That wasn't her gun, was it? How did she know it would be there?

Oh god I can't remember WHOSE car it is! Please help me! I knew it on Saturday night and now I can't remember!

wigwam1973 · 09/03/2011 22:22

Atswim It was her car, surely! Or am I losing the plot too???

teej · 09/03/2011 22:23

fivecents think that might be it! i am so in awe of jo nesbo i hesitated to read any of his books fearing they wouldn't live up to the hype, but recently succumbed to getting DS the fart powder children's book and The RedBreast for me DP.
did you see that BBC 4 documentary a while back on scandi crime? it was all i could do to stop myself from having amazon on the go at the same time and just filling my basket Shock

atswim seriously, though, would you use one or the other?
wrt theories - the only person who knows the truth is upsince - all else is fair game!

proles my brain is seriously overloaded, too. feel like i need to put up an incident board beside the telly to keep track of it all!

wigwam1973 · 09/03/2011 22:27

And isn't her mobile missing too? Can't ring Meyer for help....

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:28

Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.

I have lost it completely.

She FOUND her own car? Where was it? Why was it there? Where did she think it was?

I thought it was the white car that she found. And now I can't bloody remember what the white car was. Wasn't it the one that killed Olav? Well that wasn't Lund's!

Please, someone, enlighten me. I'll have to watch it again, I can tell.

Sorry, teej, didn't mean to laugh. The person chasing her had a torch, didn't he? Just remembered that. Why did I think he had night goggles?

atswimtwolengths · 09/03/2011 22:28

Like Meyer would be much use, Wigwam.

Don't worry atswim.

Once she'd discovered white car (yes, one that killed Olav), she hot footed it back to her car to escape/ring for back up, only to find her car keys/phone missing. She'd left them in the car, silly girl. Her next step was to fumble in glove box for gun. Her gun, I'm assuming, but not sure if loaded.

Cut to shot of Lund holding gun, looking pensive.

I misunderstood that, then. Must have blinked.

I thought she pulled off the tarpaulin, saw the car, looked in the glove compartment and found a gun.

How did she get into her car if her car keys were in there? I thought someone had nicked them and her phone.

By the way has anyone noticed how environmentally friendly the Danes are? Not one light bulb used in the last few months.

teej · 09/03/2011 22:34

am now crying with laughter at us all being driven to distraction (but by whose car?!)
so much for chanelling our inner agathas!
