No I watched too, was half expecting that kid and the dad from the first episode to turn up but I guess they may save that for the next series.

Have to say I thought the CGI explosion was a bit shit and surely it would have made the car alarms go off and the car windows break

Tbh I thought this was a crap episode :( - the first 30mins nothing happened - doctor was a bit nutty and was there any point of this episode?

They found the so called safe building/got inside/met doctor/relised he was nutty/then escaped

So what was the point?

I really thought it would leave a real cliffhanger ending

Yes Blondes I think anti climax sums it up perfectly.

I don't like zombies usually (i'd rather have a certain blonde Nordic vampire anyday ).
I started watching because DH was very excited about it. He did his PHD on the British Amicus films and is a real horror buff.

I enjoyed the series and it started really well. I was also curious to see how Andrew Lincoln fared as a yank as I used to be an avid This Lifer (apart from the reunion that was shite)

Other ideas for next series I think one-handed Merle might also make a reappearance looking for revenge?

Am watching recordings so have to catch up. Sorry if its been said before.....but Andrew Lincoln & Love Actually (my OH fave film btw...

I so need to catch up. Am weeks behind. Thats why i'm still up. OH was expecting me in bed ages ago........

The doctor in the Center said there was basically no hope and 'this is our extinction event' for the human race.

BUT ... I think they have to have some hope. Because the zomblies can only feed on real human or animal flesh, not each other, and have no other source of food. And they have less intelligence than animals, cannot organise themselves, etc.

And the main thing is they cannot have baby zomblies ... can they? (What a thought!) So eventually they will die out.

And so as long as the real humans can keep going, and reproduce, eventually they will be able to take back the world.

Or have I missed something?

speaking of babies and zombies..... only a tiny bit wrong!

I don't think zombies need to eat flesh to survive but that they do have a compulsion for it so it wouldn't effect their survival rate.

I enjoyed last night's episode. Was expecting worse from the reviews. Glad Andrea decided to get out. Can't wait for the next series!

Not watched Friday's ep yet, will watch it tonight though. Have heard a rumour that Charlie Sheen might make a cameo appearance next season. I'm sorry, I can put up with Zombies, guts etc but forcing Charlie Sheen on us really takes the biscuit!

I didn't mind it. I prefer a gentler ending when I have to wait! I want to know what the doctor whispered in Rick's ear before he went.

Am watching now, having safely got boys to bed & DH away with work.

Unimpressed with partner chappie trying to force himself on wifey (rubbish with names!), grr.

I don't think they were married. It's never been mentioned anyway I don't think.

Just googled her, yes no reference to being attached to T-Dog (black man's name).
Her main roles were to suggest escaping from Atlanta using the sewers as she used to work for the zoning people, and to make Jim show he'd been bitten.

DH and I discussed the whispered message off the Dr to Rick. We've decided he told Rick his wife was pregnant... then he'll work out dates and realise it's probably not his due to him being in a coma at the time.... just a theory though.

I also thought the explosion was rubbish, there'd have been a huge backdraft, alarms going off etc... just not realistic... then I realised discussing the realism of an explosion in a program about zomblies was a leetle bit silly.

Still not started reading the comics. Apparently they vary quite a lot from the series. There's no CHC for a start.

LOVED this series, not keen on gore as I'm a complete wuss, but managed it with a few look-aways ... what I couldn't stomach were the violence/beating up scenes ... protracted and just too much imo. Turned my stomach.
Cannot wait for 2nd series though!
