I think the point of the very beginning of the series was that the marriage was in trouble. They were still together but having issues. It's not quite established whether she was having an affair with greasy BFF before the accident though.

If not, that was a short mourning period. Wouldn't it be a bit off to shag your husband's best mate a couple of weeks or so after he's died? I mean from the first two episodes it's pretty obvious the affair has been going on for a bit. Do you think the people in camp know?

That's what happens though, in times of extremis, especially in the fillums. People start shagging.

I don't know. Being stuck in a tent camp with random people and a kid in the way is not exactly great for starting a relationship.

Some of those zombies seemed really sharp though. I thought they were all meant to be slow and dopey but those fast ones scare me!

I'm betting that she was letting the mate's snake loose in her lady garden before all this. When Rick and him were talking about Rick's marital problems in the car, the mate looked a bit shifty I thought.

I was wondering why some of the walkers seemed to be so clever. It seemed a bit incongruous, but I guess it makes for more tension is they're not all just wandering around in a daze.

The one that freaked me was the wife of that father and son who took Rick into their house in the first episode.
