I thought she was leaving the necklace and ring in the forest for her husband to find too - and was quite prepared to boggle at the unlikelihood of him stumbling across a tiny piece of jewellry amongst all those trees - but I think I saw her with the necklace back on, later on.

anonacfr · 19/11/2010 11:49

? Confused PM?

what did you think of tonights episode? me and dh were discussing whether we would go back for that or not. I'm still undecided!

I loved it when Rick was reunited with his family. It brought a tear to my eye.

Shaxx · 19/11/2010 23:38

Hello, I'm joining in. DP's pestering, and Children in Need on TV finally convinced me to sit down and watch the first 3 episodes of this. (Whilst making a batch of Christmas cards. Very seasonal)
I'm hooked. I'm also cursing because I rarely watch current TV programme, so having to wait a week for another episode is very, very annoying!

Now I'm just going to have to keep up with what episode you lot are watching so I don't spoil anything.

The gore isn't bothering me much, I've had to look away a few times.

Andrew Lincoln is really impressing me. I can't fault his accent, though it was difficult at first to hear Egg speaking like that.

ChickFlit · 20/11/2010 08:49

Will watch later today, in daylight with the curtains open.

c0rns1lk · 20/11/2010 13:27

what's with all the zombies chowing down on animals? One was scoffing a deer tonight. Why aren't there zombie animals all over the place then?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/11/2010 16:37

I'm just Envy that wifey gets to snog andrew as well as wentworth (prison break)

lifes not fair Grin

but she is welcome to snog friend Bear

smokinaces · 20/11/2010 21:30

ok, honest opinions before I watch this weeks - is Ep3 as gorey and disgusting as Ep2 was? Not sure I can stomach that again.

Shaxx · 20/11/2010 22:23

I don't think it was too gory. But I have a memory like a sieve.

C0rnilk don't overthink it! I think there are so many flaws with this kind of stuff! Like for example why did that redneck not just hack at the pipes (trying not to give anything away!)
And why are they all camped outside in the open? I'd be terrified. I'd be able to sleep better somewhere where I could barricade the doors.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 20/11/2010 22:26

Or cut the chain of the handcuffs, Shaxx.

Shaxx · 20/11/2010 22:31

True. You know what I mean SDTG. Anything other than what he did!
(Maybe he was just too thick? Hmm)

MrsDinky · 20/11/2010 22:35

Much less gory I thought, not much zombie action at all, and didn't see the redneck escape. Much more about the human characters.

Much of it is highly unlikely, but never mind, still enjoying it.

ChickFlit · 21/11/2010 14:36

I thought it was gory, I spent a lot of the time hiding my eyes behind a cushion.

DH's theory about the redneck is that he had to get away quickly because zombies were squeezing through the gap.

Great stuff though. There's only another three episodes left though aren't there?

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 21/11/2010 18:21

But still, chickflit - it would be quicker to saw through the chain of the handcuffs than through your own wrist, surely? Bone isn't that easy to cut through - never mind the fact that you have got to grit your teeth and cope with the agony whilst you are sawing.

There wasn't that much blood there either - and it wouldn't have been easy for him to put on a tourniquet one-handed, even if he did have one to hand (as t'were).

As Shaxx says, though - maybe he was too thick to think of the easy answer or to feel the pain!

MistsAndMellow · 21/11/2010 23:00

I have just said to DH, "Why on earth would you contemplate shooting yourself rather than being bitten by a Zombie and turning into one? It isn't as if you'd be a danger to others is it?"

WTF? Shock I may have to accept that I am indeed rather selfish after a glass or two of wine.

midlandsmumof4 · 21/11/2010 23:36

Haven't read all of the posts.......brilliant cross between night of/dawn of/day of the living dead & 28 days/weeks later. Need to watch next episode tho......

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 21/11/2010 23:40

Blondes would it make you hate me if I admitted to getting a 30th Birthday card from Wentworth? Blush

ChickFlit · 22/11/2010 07:54

Mists I wondered this too, but in episode 3 I kind of got the impression that the zombies were going to eat the people and not change them. Not really sure what led me to think this though. Confused
