DD school refused this morning. First she refused to give DS1 back his iPod that he had kindly lent to her yesterday because hers is broken.

I insisted she give it back. She then decided

im ringing nspcc. hang on.....

CouthyMow · 27/01/2014 17:00

Nope. Nobody will have a fucking clue where DD is. It only takes 15 minutes to get from the YOTS building in town to here on foot, so technically DD should be here by now...

CouthyMow · 27/01/2014 17:01

My GP is, unfortunately, both shitter than shit AND across town by bus, and I won't get there before it closes tonight.

PacificDogwood · 27/01/2014 17:02

Ah crap.
You must be so worried.
And seething.

REally don't know what to say.

PacificDogwood · 27/01/2014 17:02

Ah.
x-post.
Nix the GP idea then.

CouthyMow · 27/01/2014 17:03

Thanks Vicar. I'm in bits, waiting for the door to go, waiting to see if I'm faced with anger or tears...

Brew

It's the only thing I can think of.

Vicar is of much more practical use Thanks

ThatVikRinA22 · 27/01/2014 17:06

couthy im getting you a contact to speak with at NSPCC....just bear with me and i will pm you with their name and number, ok? hang on a min.

this is outrageous. im livid for you.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 27/01/2014 17:11

I don't know what to say either. Well done Vicar. My DD is a similarish age Couthy, I can only imagine how you feel.

So if she was discharged into SS and her solicitor's care, Couthy has said she is unable to have her due to safeguarding her other DC's and her DD has been released not into the care of a responsible adult and hasn't come home, can she be reported to the Police as missing ?

FreakinScaryCaaw · 27/01/2014 17:11

Thanks xxx

couthy - ring me. - you still have my number from yesterday.

CouthyMow · 27/01/2014 17:21

ShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShock

The SW LIED. They didn't release DD. She's still sat in Reception at Social Care.

I think that that was a ploy to get me to say that she'd have yo come back...

I've spoken to a different SW, they are finding an emergency placement fir DD.

FUCK ME, maybe I DO have nerves of fucking steel after all...

CinnabarRed · 27/01/2014 17:22

What?

Seriously, that's sick.

CinnabarRed · 27/01/2014 17:23

OK. Bright side. She's safe. You're safe. Your boys are safe. She's not coming home tonight.

PacificDogwood · 27/01/2014 17:23

See, can I be v smug and say I'd been wondering whether that might be the case?
FFS.
I bet you aged 10 years in the last hour or so.
Angry

Really, you need that Brew

PacificDogwood · 27/01/2014 17:24

Yy to looking at the bright side.

ashtrayheart · 27/01/2014 17:24

Fucking hell. See, miraculously they can do it Hmm outrageous that they lied!!
I'm glad she's safe x

CouthyMow · 27/01/2014 17:24

And yes, when the dust has settled, I WILL be putting in a MEGA official complaint. I HAVE been taking down the SW's names, at least I've had the presence of mind and prior experience of SS to do that, in case I needed to make a complaint...

OP posts:
FreakinScaryCaaw · 27/01/2014 17:25

How do they get away with this? Angry

ThatVikRinA22 · 27/01/2014 17:26

couthy i know you are not getting my pms in full
ive pmd you my number again.

can you call me? i dont want to post numbers on line in case it outs you.

Frist thing you MUST do if she hasnt arrived home is call 999 and report her as missing.
asap. crucial.

then i have the OOH emergency social workers number for you. You need to contact them - yesterday they wouldnt help as she was in a place of ssafetly - she isnt now so they must act.

there is a lady at the NSPCC waiting for you call to help you with this - her name is Cynthia. call 0808 800 5000. she says she is happy to talk to you and help you but if she is on another call then anyone can help. Cynthia would be good as ive appraised her.

the OOH number you need for SS is 0845 606 1212. Its after 5pm so this number will be what you need.

1 - call police - report her missing
2 - call cynthia - she will help you. she was brilliant on the phone.
3 - OOH social services. or let NSPCC help you do that.

then you MUST complain officially when this is over. NSPCC can help with that too....but for now do steps 1 - 3 ASAP.

Entrapped · 27/01/2014 17:26

That poor girl walking the streets in her onesie. Does she have any money or her phone on her?

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 27/01/2014 17:28

Really really glad she's safe and they are finding her somewhere and yes you definitely have balls of steel. It is utterly outrageous though.
