Confused Luckily it was in a colander so I placed a book over the top and have put it outside, but it's still int he colander. It's fairly small, would fit into the palm of my hand, and fury so I'm not sure if it's a baby (or how it got in). I haven't touched it. HELP!

Another one with well-warmed cockles at the thought of Wee Bob being looked after by his bat aunties until his mum finds him. Grin

BCBG · 25/07/2012 22:41

LadySybide are you me? (only years younger Blush )... I am writing my first YA novel, and have a bat somewhere in my house tonight - weird! Glad your bat lady turned up to help though x

LadySybildeChocolate · 25/07/2012 22:45

It just makes you want to melt, Grumpla. Blush

There's some weird shit going on at the moment, BCBG, so who knows? Bat lady said there's a lot of bats out at the moment as they love the weather; no wind, it's dry and there's lots for them to eat.

Bats=rabies. Run! Haven't you seen CONTAGION?

LadySybildeChocolate · 25/07/2012 22:53

Nope. Only 1% of them have rabies, and they don't bite if you're careful. Smile

Ha, sorry I'm no help whatsoever but just wanted to say I completely misread that at first as you've got a brat in your kitchen sink and my first thought was "What's it doing in there? Shouldn't it be asleep in bed at this time of night?! Grin
Sorry, as you were.........

hellymelly · 25/07/2012 23:33

LadySybildeChocolate · 25/07/2012 23:53

LadySybildeChocolate · 26/07/2012 00:10

Aww, poor little Bob. He will be turned into a picture book at some point. Grin I hope you're well, giraffes. Smile

Not here (Ontario), Lady. You see a bat, you run a mile.

LadySybildeChocolate · 26/07/2012 00:13

Ouch! You must get bats like this, Sriracha

Such a sweet thread. We have lots in our garden but I've never had one inside , thank goodness

Devora · 26/07/2012 00:17

I love bats. What a great adventure for you.

spiderlight · 26/07/2012 00:21

Awww, what a lovely ending! I'm glad he flew away :)

This might make you laugh: I went to visit my very elderly dad the other week and he'd just been listening to a programme about bats on Radio 4. He was all excited - 'Did you know bats actually have midwives to look after the females when they're giving birth! I was amazed! I always thought they laid eggs....' :o

LadySybildeChocolate · 26/07/2012 00:22

Wasn't quite the thing I wanted to see inside my sink at half past one in the morning. Grin It was lovely really, even if I did almost shit myself. Do you think MNHQ would move the thread if I asked them? There's some good advice on it incase anyone else finds one (and it's cute).

LadySybildeChocolate · 26/07/2012 00:28

Hi Val, matey Smile Bob was very cute. His 'mum' was also cute, but larger. We're good, thank you. It's a lovely house, I'm still freaked out having found a bat in my sink and waiting for feedback on my witch. Do you think it's a sign? Grin
