I did the same lost!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 20:01

Aha, great minds Serial. I had a lovely drink in the pub garden and now home and feeling knackered. Very un party animal like tonight.

I'm prone to a midweek wobble but cravings are quite minimal today.
Maybe I've got heat stroke or something. Grin

Ooh mojito! I can only grow mint...
I have suddenly acquired a love of g&t having thought I hated it

serialtester · 14/06/2017 20:46

Lost - it's like we've swapped bodies, I have a HUGE craving tonight. Good job there's no oven dish activity planned.

serialtester · 14/06/2017 20:47

Dusty - G&T is the best!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 21:00

Love the mellow G & T vibe Wink

I have a theory that a fall off your board reignites your cravings. Hold tight Serial, I hate it when cravings keep popping up in my head (quite often). Sometimes I can't concentrate on anything and get all restless and irritable.

Try the old faithful bath or selotape your arms to a chair?

OP posts:
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 21:01

That was a joke about the selotape.

I'm ok, no chance of getting any and I haven't got a special big shoe! Just got to get me snorkel on again. Superglued to my face. I'm sure no one at work will ask any questions!

serialtester · 14/06/2017 21:32

I'm absolutely dying for it though.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 21:39

I think we all know that feeling. I won't tell you to start a colouring in book but distraction helps or sometimes a few drinks and about ten fags.. I'm probably teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here Grin

You can do this!

Have we swapped bodies? This is weird I'm sure it won't last

OP posts:
DustyDuck · 14/06/2017 21:39

are we allowed to say that serial? I'm scared of upsetting the watchers. It's like there's a white elephant in the room and we're talking about drinks

ponzusoup · 14/06/2017 21:51

Serial. You can surf man. You did it for ages. Get your surf on ride the waves. Had a g and t here too. Go to bed if you have to. Just get through it. Maybe we need yoga tim back to amuse us?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 21:52

I think it's fine Dusty. The nice lady from MNHQ told me we're fine to make references to cocaine and use some humour as long as we're not posting while high and being enthusiastic about how great it is, ahem. Wink

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2017 21:54

Yoga Tim would be proud of us this week! Ah lovely Tim..I'm off to dream about him.

It's Thursday. Have broached the idea of having a weekend off it, we both have "hay fever" noses and I need to stop looking forward to it as a highlight. Because it isn't, not really...

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/06/2017 20:12

Is your dh up for your suggestion Dusty? It would make it much easier to have a clean weekend if you're both on board (pardon the pun).

I feel like a complete hypocrite tonight as dh has unexpectedly come home with a bag and I've dived overboard. Sad
Already anxious about being ruined at work tomorrow but I can't leave it if it's in the house.
Sorry team, I'm taking myself off the thread tonight before I start rambling.
Please talk some sense into me tomorrow x

OP posts:
serialtester · 15/06/2017 20:54

Oh lost! Don't worry about sploshing - tomorrow is a new day.

Dusty, weekend use isn't great but it could be worse. Aiming for a clean weekend is really good.

Have had a stressful day after a stressful week and am having wine.

HoochiMama · 15/06/2017 20:56

This is why I'm glad I don't have a partner in crime living with me. No judgement at all Lost, if someone bought it home I wouldn't be able to say no or even if it was mentioned as a possibility that would be it...

serialtester · 15/06/2017 21:31

Yes Hooch - if DH brought it home I'd be overboard instantly. Even the world's largest flippers wouldn't save me!

DustyDuck · 15/06/2017 21:45

It's difficult because I feel kind of dependent - in that I only have it with him, if he gets some
but also I don't want him having fun without me, that is really hard to say no to, and so I end up having it when he decides, if that makes sense.

serialtester · 15/06/2017 22:01

I can get that Dusty. Just take this weekend as it comes and don't overthink things.

HoochiMama · 15/06/2017 22:50

Makes perfect sense Dusty, I would be the same. Do you both feel crap the next day? If so could you plan to do something constructive that would put you off doing it clutching at straws! Good luck x

ponzusoup · 16/06/2017 10:00

Lost how are you doing today? SendingBrew

DustyDuck · 16/06/2017 12:22

Thanks all. I find that if I resolve not to, it's easier than just going with the flow. Because the flow invariably goes out to sea...Confused

ponzusoup · 16/06/2017 13:30

Definitely making the decision can help. It's the issue if revisiting the decision whilst French that is my problem!

Keep us posted dusty all power to you.
