I can get on board with 3 alcohol free days a week.

Obviously doing coke isn't great (well it is but you know what I mean!!) but moderating your usage is fantastic! At least you're not hoovering up 2 grams a day.

Am interested in the weed in an ecig thing. Sounds fun!

You're right Serial we're all heading in the right direction at least.
Let the triple dry day challenge commence (tomorrow)!

Enjoy your bank holiday all.

HoochiMama · 29/05/2017 13:45

Glad you at both feeling better today. As Serial said a blow out once in a while is a vast improvement in every day/week.

The e cig weed thing was from my friends partner who is over 50 so not teenagers in the park! It's some sort of cannabis oil in a vape. Not really my thing, I prefer hyper to mellow! Won't be joining you this week on the 3 days alcohol free as going away for a few days so will be drinking like a fish Shock I'll try for next week though.

Have a good day ladies x

ponzusoup · 30/05/2017 15:59

Hey ladies.

Half term tastic here and DD1s birthday tomorrow. In true borderline alcoholic fashion I don't feel that I can make it through these occasions minus booze so I am going to commit to the three dry days from next week.

Is that utterly weak?

Confused
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/05/2017 18:53

I know that feeling Ponz. I'm hankering after a drink myself after a long day. Going with lemonade and fags for now. Have fun with your dd on her birthday. Smile
Walked to work and ran home today but my legs still hurt from last week.

Feeling determined to do better this week. The weekend passed in a sort of blur of hangover/comedown hell. When people at work asked what I was up to at the weekend I glossed over bingeing on whisky and shoving class A's up my nose. God the shame.

Have a great time on your city break Hooch, sounds glamorous!

Wishing everyone a surftastic week x

DustyDuck · 30/05/2017 21:15

Yeah well you have to gloss over it lost, or they'd all want someWink
Seriously though if my best friends knew, they'd be horrified

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/05/2017 22:01

Ha that made me laugh Dusty. Tsk, they'd all be knocking at my door.... All my colleagues seem fairly straight laced and normal though. Us and our secret lives eh.

DustyDuck · 30/05/2017 22:20

Yes but what do they get up to? And do they think we are straight laced?! One of my friends is a recovered (20 yrs) heroin addict and I can't even tell her!

ponzusoup · 30/05/2017 22:23

I do the odd line with mates and pretend I do it three times a year. Then in secret I do it three times a week. Shameful I know.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/05/2017 22:42

The shame is awful isn't it? I get quite paranoid on a comedown that people will take one look at me and think "druggie". I can spot it a mile off in others but maybe it takes one to know one? Confused

My family are quite used to me having "migraines" that keep me up all night.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 18:38

Evening all. Hope I didn't kill the thread with my ramblings!

My triple day dry challenge has been blighted today by a can of lovely cold Fosters in the sun. I also messed up the Dr Lost plan of action by running pathetically slow out of breath jogging yesterday as I thought it was Monday. Whoops. Had a day off exercise today. Not sure when I'll start enjoying it? It's torture at the moment.

Happy birthday mini Ponz Cake

Hope y'all still a surfing buddies.

DustyDuck · 31/05/2017 20:35

Lost, if this thread ever dies it won't be your fault. It will be when nobody needs it anymore Hmm having all gone straight.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 20:37

We can all meet up for a massive party when that happens Hmm

ZiggertyZaggerty · 31/05/2017 20:49

Did someone mention a party?!?! Oh! A Being Clean party?! Grin

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 20:57

Nice to see you Zig you old party animal. Hope everything's alright in your world.

DustyDuck · 31/05/2017 21:35

Yes I don't think a Being Clean party would be much fun Zig. Although it would of course be a celebratory occasion with tea and cake.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 21:44

Yes tea in posh china and cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

I'd give us 5 minutes together before someone suggests a coach trip and we're all heading to Columbia without an off switch between us. Oh dear Confused

ZiggertyZaggerty · 31/05/2017 22:47

I'm partial to a posh cucumber sarnie and I love my tea - so we shall try and make it a civilised French affair. Que?
All is cool here, nothing to report! It's much easier being sensible (ish) whilst Mr Zig is away. I've been riding lots and stomping round the country with dogs and Little Zig but still haven't been able to join you on a 3 day booze ban. I've gotta have something!
It seems we're all doing well clinging on to our boards - bar Ponzus shoe. How you kept it there even for a few days deserves a medal Ponz Halo
I'm pyjamarated and off to bed in bed linen dried today on the line I am definitely getting old Confused

ZiggertyZaggerty · 31/05/2017 22:51

Oh Lost just saw you went for a swim - sorry I missed that. You made it a month though didn't you? New job and new running regime (ish) you can forgive yourself a celebratory celebration. You've done bloody brilliant Smile

Snowball426 · 31/05/2017 23:11

Sorry girls I've been so long. I'll need a bit of time to read the thread. X

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 23:12

Aw thanks Zig I love a fresh bed sheets night too. It's the simple things.
Enjoy your countryside and horses. Horseriding must be a buzz.
I ran through a field with horses yesterday and they all started silently moving towards me. It freaked me out, I'm such a townie. Grin

Glad you're still surfing x

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 23:14

Wow Snowball you're still around. Hug from me Smile
Good luck making sense of the thread!

Snowball426 · 31/05/2017 23:16

Been to rehab, lost job and left dealer xxx

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 31/05/2017 23:20

Blimey Snow you've really been through it. That's huge.
I hope you're in a better place now. It's scarily easy for drugs to get a grip on you and things to start spiraling out of control.
I hope you're alright Flowers

Snowball426 · 31/05/2017 23:27

Thanks Lost. You all knew I was doing ok. But then we had that one night out. Yous all told me to be careful. But one night started been back to every night.
