Painting a door is an admirable thing to do when you're not feeling the best. If you're bored later, you can always sit and watch it dry. Grin

Just been to Tescos, all pretty humdrum here.

serialtester · 30/04/2017 16:39

Been to the supermarket and have also reached the bottom of the washing basket. Am about to have a gin. Totally rock and roll here.

Been for Sunday lunch at a MPW hotel restaurant. Great view, ok food, lovely marble table tops but sadly plasticky toilets. I do like a nice bit of porcelain.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 30/04/2017 18:22

That all sounds very swanky Dusty. A line off some polished marble would have been decadent. Wink Did you have any dessert?

serialtester · 30/04/2017 20:37

Dusty, I do hope that you put that review on trip advisor!

Trip advisor.. he he.
I have been in a few posh wine bars where all the flat surfaces in the toilets have gravel glued on to them. Can't think why. Hmm

Had a nice chilled out evening here, just watching a really violent crime drama!

serialtester · 30/04/2017 22:32

I'm watching a very violent zombie thing!!

Morning surfers.
Hope all had a good bank holiday weekend, and here's to another clean week Brew.

ponzusoup · 02/05/2017 16:02

Still here still clean but have just made a tentative stab st getting done for a party in a few weeks....

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/05/2017 18:17

Ooh er Ponzu parties are difficult for me too. I always feel like I've got to avoid the party and be a hermit or go completely wild and party my head off Confused Hopefully you can find some middle ground!

On a positive note, you're doing bloody great. Over a week clean Smile

Went for a family meal yesterday and it was all quite jolly but couldn't shake the flat feeling, like the buzz was missing. One of my sisters even asked what was wrong? I went home and cried. I'm such a twat.

Serial is your mum on the mend now? Hope she's feeling better.

HoochiMama · 02/05/2017 20:29

Oh Lost, sorry you cried. You were probably still suffering the affects of a comedown, it does linger for days. I normally cry the next day about something minor like an advert Hmm

Still not 100% here but better. Have the raging hunger again and a craving for Jelly Babies!

serialtester · 02/05/2017 21:02

Lost - totally get the feeling so flat that you cry. It's shit. My mum is better than she was but still a bit poorly. She's on the winning side though. Thanks so much for asking.

Oh I'm glad you lot cry over nothing too.. Grin Sometimes I worry I've been self medicating for so long, I go a while straight and all these emotions hit me out of nowhere. It's probably best not to think too deeply about that.
Smoked a few fags after crying and watched 24 hours in A & E and I was ok. Hmm

Sorry for moaning about non problems when your mum's been so ill, Serial. That's such a worry. Just when your dc start to get a bit independent, you start worrying about your parents eh?
Get well soon Mrs ST Brew (I put a nip of gin in there)

Enjoy your jelly babies Hooch, glad you've recovered from your mad weekend. At least you have a clean house and a re painted door to show for it. Grin

ponzusoup · 02/05/2017 21:51

I do feel more even tempered even though I hammered the booze at the weekend

Now having some comedy therapy with the brilliant genius that is victoria wood...

All power to everyone.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 03/05/2017 19:44

All power to everyone, I second that. You're right Ponzu staying off it does make me more even tempered too. I'm trying to think of all the benefits of abstaining and striving for inner peace, rather than dwelling on what I'm missing.
It's helping (to an extent).

DustyDuck · 03/05/2017 21:10

Me too. Trying to concentrate on the benefits of abstaining, while on a week off work with nothing in particular planned...

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 03/05/2017 21:29

Hold tight Dusty it's hard. I had a bit of a mid week wobble earlier that's why I wrote all that waffle about finding inner peace earlier Grin. Just trying to convince myself I think..

Busy is best and arranging stuff during the day that you know you can't be messed up for, also early pyjamaration and gripping TV are some of my distraction methods.
Did I mention knitting? Hmm

DustyDuck · 03/05/2017 22:19

Yes it helps that MrD is working, has 5:40 alarm and I prefer company

DustyDuck · 03/05/2017 22:20

I do need gripping tv though, nothing grabbing me at the moment. What are you in to?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 03/05/2017 22:32

Yeah there's a lot of shite on tv. I quite like drama series. Just watched all the Line of Duty series, a crime drama, sometimes random documentaries and I've just watched The Only Way I Essex on catch up (intellectual) Blush

Hope you enjoy your week off Dusty. Let's hope we get some sun Smile

ponzusoup · 03/05/2017 22:42

I quite enjoyed clique ( BBC online only ) and the replacement.

Car share was genius.

Masterchef?

ponzusoup · 03/05/2017 22:43

I player not online?

DustyDuck · 03/05/2017 22:52

Loved previous Line of Duty but didn't catch up in time and now ep 1+2 -are lost. Going for Number 9 this week.

ZiggertyZaggerty · 04/05/2017 21:39

Hi Surfers - I'm still lurking. Glad to see you're all cool Grin

ZiggertyZaggerty · 04/05/2017 21:43

How about Fleabag on iPlayer? I lurrrrved that.
