Following on from here

Surely the sun will be out by the end of this thread?

oops - sorry LTEC got my DS's mixed up! Though this is MN and in theory you could still be BF a two year old

FLeecy - wow - at that price they are fab! Poor you though - I hope you feel better soon.

Like the rats top LTEC - the cosy one wouldn't really work on anyone shorter than you imo - even the model looks pregnant

Off to go and find lightbulbs. The people we bought the house off chose to use only the most difficult to source lightbulbs/fittings. Tis a right royal pain in the arse.

KristinaM · 09/03/2010 16:18

monketsmamma - sorry did not manage to top shop so far this week

monkeysmama · 09/03/2010 16:36

Thanks for update Kristina. They've been in 3 magazines this week so not sure I'm going to have any luck .

Hey Hells, I'm what I think they call an "extended breastfeeder". Feed dd (21 mo) few times a week. And my boobs are extended downwards tho not sure that's what it means.

Love the shoes Fleecy & may have to get some too. They're a real bargain.

LTEC love the rats cashmere top & thinking it's freezing & would go with my leather leggings too. I like the OA trousers as well.

Tracey are you keeping the Ugg clogs? I'm still undecided on them.

I'm thinking about these rolled up jeans. Are they boyfriend cut ones? Is it ok to roll up normal bf jeans or do I need new ones? Any suggestions?

I also have a paper and card obsession & have since I was little. Other kids would ask for toys and I'd want a new pad. I do write lots though. My mont blanc is one of my most treasured possessions and is always with me along with a small notepad.

LetThemEatCake · 09/03/2010 16:39

oh mm it would look lovely with leather leggings!!

are your gap chinos with you yet? I thought mine would come today but no sign yet ...

I bfed dd and ds1 to 10 months. I was willing to go to 1 year but by the time dd was 10 months, I was already 3 months pg with ds1.. I've read that being pg can alter the taste of the milk? anyway, she self-weaned. With ds1, I gradually cut him back so that he would also only go to 10 months .. I have this weird thing that I have to treat them all the 'same'. Not that they'll care one way or the other when they're older!!

hellsbelles · 09/03/2010 16:44

Wow MM - that's brilliant (not the boobs bit though!! I managed nearly a year with DS and a little less with DD . My two were mind numbingly slow feeders. I mean literally hours and hours on end! I do miss it though.

OllieWollieWoo · 09/03/2010 17:00

Just seen another of VB's dresses here- I really like them (even if she has or hasn't designed them herself). Are they available to use mere mortals or do they have huge waiting lists/only for celebs etc etc? Off to check ebay now (joke - unless....?)

monkeysmama · 09/03/2010 17:05

You know, if anyone had told me I'd still be bfing this far in I'd hae been very . I'm a big believer in being led by her though and everytime she seems ready to stop something happens and she starts again. Two years is my limit though. I'd like my body back for a while before we start ttc. I saw a beautiful ring 8mo ago I decided I'd have as my end of bfing present when she stopped feeding. I bought it 6 mo ago & finally bit the bullet last month & have started wearing it. I figure I deserve a medal.

I think asos order was dispatched last night but am not home to get it so no gap trousers yet. Will let you know LTEC. They'll be the new rats won't they? Sure at least one other of us have them?

OllieWollieWoo · 09/03/2010 17:07

Ignore previous post re VB - just seen prices on net a porter! .

bunjies · 09/03/2010 17:17

What a lot of poorly dcs at the moment. Hope you're all coping ok.

Answer to QOTW - I love buying stuff for the house, throws, cushions, furniture, bedding, kitchenalia etc. One of the advantages of building your own house is that I can style it how I want. Dh doesn't really get a look in. I'm into contemporary cottage ATM.! Am also a book fiend, OWW, have got that book in my Amazon wish list. Just finished An American Wife which I really enjoyed. It's great now the dcs are older as I actually get time to read again .

LTEC - Like the vortex tank but not the joggers!

Hana I am a massive music fan too and have loads of CDs and vinyl. I used to be a reviewer before I had dd and as well as stuff I bought I accumulated lots of random music. My favourite activity is putting my iPod on random play and having a good old boogie with dd .

traceybath · 09/03/2010 18:35

MM I love the ugg clogs and am definitely keeping them.

They look very good with 7/8 length skinny jeans and skirts.

I do like buying house stuff but not at the moment as we're renting and no point until we buy later this year.

Romanarama · 09/03/2010 18:41

Bloody nap have stuffed up and don't have the Anglomania skirt after all, so I don't think I'm going to get the jacket. They also have not seemed to register my request for the Choos. I'm going to order the Choos again and go back to square one on suits

LetThemEatCake · 09/03/2010 18:51

Ugh, Roman how annoying. Am pretty sure that's worth discount/ free shipping on next order as hells had similar sitch?

notyummy · 09/03/2010 18:52

How annoying!! Was there any of the other links that might fit the bill instead?

Romanarama · 09/03/2010 19:03

Am thinking that I'll get the jacket anyway, as MW seems to have the skirt, and will try for free shipping on the jacket and choos from nap - good idea LTEC

Are there any MW discount codes still working does anyone know?

Bonsoir · 09/03/2010 19:06

Ooh I could get very keen on this thread if we could talk house styling. I restyled my kitchen/bathrooms/loos for AW09/10 but haven't yet focused on SS10 and would love to...

hellsbelles · 09/03/2010 19:10

Roman - I had it with my-wardrobe (not NAP). I think the carcifio code AMEX25 is still working on my-wardrobe. So maybe the NAP muck up is a good thing as you'll get it cheaper on my-wardrobe if the discount is still working.

hellsbelles · 09/03/2010 19:11

Bonsoir - you restyle your house for each season! How do you get the energy - and what does it involve?

Bonsoir · 09/03/2010 19:15

Gosh no not my house (though I would love to) but I like to change things! I dumped all the textiles in my kitchen/loos/bathrooms and got new stuff in much better colours/shapes for AW09/10 but it's all dark - purples and blacks and khakis (though apparently khaki is very in this season) and I'd like to get new towels/aprons etc in summerier colours.

Bonsoir · 09/03/2010 19:17

I have just bought 3 metres of fabulous purply/pink furnishing velvet in a sale at 10% of usual price - and I need to pick up a charcoal portrait of DD that has been framed in pink/silver - so I can use that as starting points.

hellsbelles · 09/03/2010 19:24

sounds wonderful. I definitely think we should start a wise and avid 'home' thread or does everyone think we should include it on here?

Bonsoir · 09/03/2010 19:29

Oh yes - I would love to talk about home stuff on here! Not major refurbishment necessarily - rather the tweaking that keeps home refreshed and up to date...

monkeysmama · 09/03/2010 19:34

I'm into house stuff but think it could have a S&B thread of it's own as lots of people are clothes or house people & may feel intimidated by our passion for fashion.

notyummy · 09/03/2010 19:39

PS: Can one of you get married please?

Have just been looking at wedding dresses on nap.

at the beautiful Lanvin frocks.

I want to live vicariously through someone else who is buying a stunning wedding dress.......
