too many women seem to have boobs pointing south, or four of them.

then LOOK AT YOUR REAR VIEW

have you a fat back rippling out from underneath it?
if so please get a bigger bra.

ithankyou

I have horrible big norks

Used to be good now they are cricket balls in socks

AnyFucker · 24/03/2009 15:14

I wouldn't Pennie

I actually like the size of 'em, just not their location

My problem is, during my pgs, I went from a 34B to wearing a 36H nursing bra. That is one hell of a stretch!!

CMOTdibbler · 24/03/2009 15:16

AF- have you tried a different style of bra ? A balconette might work better - I can heartily recommend the Elle McPherson one. Otherwise Max Cleavage do some natty little silicone things that go under your norks and make them look much fuller (better than the chicken fillet things)

AnyFucker · 24/03/2009 15:20

yes cmot, the fillet things (like external implants ??? wowee ) do kind of displace the floppy skin to a better place

can't be arsed to do the fillet thing every day though!

I find Balconettes a bit uncomfortable and a bit ooh-la-la, as in French Maid stylee

thanks for your suggestions, but I am used to it now

these bloody kids have ruined me, ruined me, I tell ya

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2009 15:22

Up to an H!?

I am now very scared about what will happen to my 34Bs when I have babies...

DSM · 24/03/2009 15:27

Question about bra sizing.

If I measure round the bottom, where the bra normally sits, and get 35 inches, and then measure round over the nips, and get 38 inches, that makes me a 36C, right?

I wear a 36C, but constantly have friends telling me they can't possibly only be a C, and have friends with considerably smaller norks than mine wearing D and E's..

Its confusing.

DSM · 24/03/2009 15:29

I also love mine so dearly, I would hate for anything to happen to them. Thankfully they remain completely unaffected by child-rearing.

They are round, perky (still pass the pencil test ) soft and full. I love them.

AnyFucker · 24/03/2009 15:56

believe it, trillianastra

it is bloody gruesome, I tells ya

dsm, I hate you already

ThePellyandMe · 24/03/2009 16:07

I would like to think that my 36b bra's are the wrong cupsize but I fear I would be deluding myself. They are too big if anything but i can't bring myself to go down to an A cup

Much like Anyfucker mine puddle in the bottom of my bra. I have to wear heavy duty molded cups to disguise the disaster that is my boobs and give me at least a bit of cleavage.

The good thing about having a stretchmarked, saggy tummy complete with overhang is that it takes my attention away from the state of my bust

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2009 16:09

What's the pencil test?

KristinaM · 24/03/2009 16:17

you dont want to know

unless you are 16

MrsTittleMouse · 24/03/2009 16:18

Trillian - you don't want to know.

Mine went up to H for breastfeeding too with DD1. I'm now feeding DD2 and the H cup feels a bit tight, but I refuse to go any higher.

PinkTulips · 24/03/2009 16:20

DSM

i hate you a little bit now, i feel you should know that.

mine used to pass th pencil test.... 5 years of continuous bf-ing and pregnancy later they don't even pass the pencil case test.... i could wedge most of a stationary shop in there and they'd just drape sadly around it

deegward · 24/03/2009 16:22

Pencil! I could fit the whole pencil case and it couldn't fall out!

BarStoolCobra · 24/03/2009 16:25

god no time to read all this and ENJOY..

BUT i did read "englandss mistress" ( vg book - i recommend) and Emma Hamilton is to blame for the dreaded EMpire Line fashion when SHE was trying to disgiuse she was pg with Nelsons (illgetimitate) child.

So blame her.

You need Piratecat to come on here - she's v helpful in the bra dept.

AF - i was wearing 34Bs and had exactly the same prob as you.
went from 34A - DD in pg & bf.
Measured with Piratecat's help and come out as a 32b/c (depending on style).
went back into M&S and they actually agreed.

Have now got some that fit! yey!
Thought i was doomed post-dc.

there IS hope!!!

DSM - think you could even be a 36B but if the 36C fit, carry on.
you friends could be 32 round the chest, and 36 around the norks which (i think) = 32D.
they may just be smaller in the rib cage but feel that they are smaller all over?

I dunno it is confusing.

but it's worth remeasuring to try and get some that fit properly.

AF - go and measure, under & around and report back!

AnyFucker · 24/03/2009 16:30

the pencil test

if a pencil will stay put underneath your boobie, then you should not go bra-less

bleh · 24/03/2009 16:36

BarStoolCobra: is this the situation you are warning us about?

BarStoolCobra · 24/03/2009 16:39

oh

my

frigging

lord

that is photoshopped non?
why is her g string so low slung?

mate of mine had a reduction and the bloke said a lot of her back fat was breast tissue.

OP posts:
BarStoolCobra · 24/03/2009 16:40

It looks like she is holding a breathlyser thign on her shoulder?

OP posts:
piratecat · 24/03/2009 16:40

(trills) I'm heeerrrreeee!!

can i help

TheProvincialLady · 24/03/2009 16:41

There should also be a nipple colour test as people with really dark ones ought to wear a bra too. My friend was going braless at a wedding () but was exposed when all the photos showed her with dark bit where her nips were!

I have back fat for the first time in my life at the moment as I am a stone heavier than before I had DS2 12 weeks ago. I agree that back fat showing through tops is bad, but saggy norks are much worse. Luckily I only seem to possess shapeless grey things at the moment so it's not a public health issue.

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2009 16:50

Okay, I definitely can't hold a pencil under my boobs, but that's just cos there's not much to them. (I am cheating a bit by not having actually borne children yet )

I always wear bras that are either padded or made of thick material though, as I really hate the 'smuggling peanuts' look. And now I have fear of your nipple colour test too, ProvincialLady

PinkTulips · 24/03/2009 16:53

well apparently when i measure myself i should be wearing 38D but i'm a freakin 10/12 in tops and my 34 and 36 sizes still fit on the band and the 38's i have from when preg is too loose so i'm very about the whole measuring thing tbh
