They’re everywhere. Maybe it’s because I’m a child of the 80s but I just can’t rid myself of Bet Lynch’s image. Am I the only one?

I don't mind animal print accessories, like shoes, a small bag, belt etc. But I cant stomach animal print clothing.

Patagonia21 · 21/09/2026 21:38

Agree, but to me they often stand
out too much to be considered a neutral and unlike other neutrals are already feeling a bit over done.

I’ve got a big leopard print rug in my living room I love it ❤️

Mostly brown shapeless trousers and similar baggy sacks are suggested.

Don’t forget the horrendous sandals, every summer there are new horrors! 😆

Good old Teva walking sandals get recommended year on year though! They are criminal

I love it all, especially leopard print. Wouldn't dream of wearing / carrying leather though.

Gettingbysomehow · 21/09/2026 22:03

Im 64 so I have to show a bit of restraint so for example today I wore jeans with a short sleeved black teashirt with a long sleeved leopard mesh top underneath and platform black mules. Only the lower half of my arms were in leopard. I think it looked great.
I dont want to look like a pensioner as I get older wearing polyester dresses from Chums.

Had to google Chums. The website cracked me up. The models are lookers but the dancing is so funny.

They keep sending me catalogues in the post. I have never ordered anything from them 😐

I love leopard print and consider it very much a neutral! The Princess of Wales has been known to rock it too and I’ve never considered her cheap or tacky before.

ToadRage · 21/09/2026 22:17

No, my friend and I went to a 'Totally Tasteless wearing matching leopard print.

Depends.. I do like a classy-looking zebra print.

DramaAlpaca · 21/09/2026 23:02

Ooh, I love a bit of leopard print. In my younger years I hated it and thought it was tacky but I've had a change of view and I love it now. I'm just careful about how I wear it.

I also love snake print, but only for shoes, belts and bags.

Apsidistra · 21/09/2026 23:02

I despised it, then I bought a lovely dress in a pink leopard print!

Minasama · 21/09/2026 23:04

Growing up it was seen as common, I can’t get beyond that. It’s not something I’d wear.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 22/09/2026 06:39

Prime Bet Lynch for those too young to know! (Once photo approved)

The Queen was obviously tacky too 😀

Is that animal print or is it actual animal?

EatMoreChocolate44 · 22/09/2026 07:16

I love it. Any pattern can look cool, trendy or tacky, cheap depending on how you style it.

TinnedTina · 22/09/2026 07:21

I used to be judgy about leopard print and associated with those who like to live, laugh, dance, drink Prosecco and be ‘girlie’ or mumsie ...a print to be worn on a night out..
..
But now I own a leopard print skirt (hush) and wear with flats and a black t shirt. I absolutely love wearing it.

not sure what my point is here 🙃

PrescriptionOnlyMedicine · 22/09/2026 07:33

I love animal print. I guess I’m tacky, trashy AND naff. Well done me.

GoodBones · 22/09/2026 07:35

tiredtiredd · 21/09/2026 18:57

I love it. I’ve always worn it. Early 40s now so possibly mid life crisis age but wore it in my 20s and 30s too.

Me too!!
