Answered my own question (thanks to an Instagram post) and this lovely number arrived today. Hangs beautifully and after three years of searching I now have a decent winter coat again.

That's gorgeous!

I'm looking for a silver leather tote bag. Slim pickings on vinted and now fearing it's a summer look and I won't find one until next year.

I've been picking up BNWT cashmere and merino all summer so I have a great knitwear choice. Also picked up some thermal base layers.

I've also just bought BNWT cord dresses in navy and brown on vinted which will get a lot of use over winter.

I do need some warm lounge wear as everything I had from last winter is now too big. Also need a couple of work dresses but it's a new job which I don't start for a couple of weeks so I need to see what the vibe in the office is first.

Try iCowhide for a silver tote: Silver tote they are reasonably priced i think, but have no personal experience of them so can't comment on quality.

Having said I didn't really need much, I was ordering some shoes from M&S for DH, and thought I'd (ahem) make up the minimum postage... so I bought a few bits...

This top, in rust. The fabric content is a bit plastic-fantastic, but it is a great top for this time of year, and I didn't mind the neckline as much as I thought I would.

This jacket Thought I'd dip my toe into the trend for funnel neck blouson-type jackets, but wanted something with a little bit of weight to it, so it would actually function as a jacket for autumn. I LOVE this one - looks really sleek and modern, and grey is a better colour on me than beige. Box ticked.

These long boots Well, I said I was after a pair - these are gorgeous, very comfy. Not sure they are particularly "cowboy" apart from the heel (which you can't actually see when you are wearing them).

Funnel Neck Tailored Jacket by M&S

Keep warm on casual days with this practical, tailored jacket. It's cut in a comfy, relaxed fit, with an insulating funnel neck and a zip-up front. Dropped shoulders and the elasticated cuffs and hem add to the laidback feel, while two roomy pockets co...

After the thread about trainers, I’m going to be buying a pair of Onitsuka Tigers Mexico 66 trainers in yellow

I’ve fallen in love with them!!

I have these and they cheer me up every time I wear them.

I have just ordered some barrel legged adidas firebird joggers in a sort of sage green colour. I love my adidas firebirds-I’ve got two pairs of them and some shorts so I’m hoping I will also like them in the new shape.

I love those boots, but where I live it rains a lot so suede is a no-no.

I’m safe from funnel-neck jackets! But I have just bought a wool cardi/jacket from Vinted. Dark purple, Jigsaw, £13.49 all in.

I just know I’m going to love it!

I really want some good quality, nice plain T-shirts to go under blazers for work.

anyone got any suggestions of where to look?

Edited

Cos or Uniqlo normally have nice plain good quality ts at good prices

Cantonet · 02/09/2026 16:12

Cos cotton crew neck and v neck or the long sleeved Muji cotton scoop neck in 2 different weights.

ReadingTime · 02/09/2026 21:30

I just bought this Hobbs jacket today on a whim because I was cold coming home from work and I love it - it’s soft and cosy, and even though I’m old and fat it also makes me feel sexy and glam. The only annoying this is it has no pockets, but that’s how it has such a neat and non-bulky fit.

Lovely jacket - I have a similar shape/weight vintage one, which is red. Must dig it out for the winter season.

The pocket situation would irritate me, though!

I spotted that rust top whilst browsing recently. Gorgeous colour and I thought was a good price. Do Not Tempt Me. I’m trying to hold off until I convert my wardrobe back to winter. Still trying to live in summer clothes, although I have now ditched shorts for trousers. Still warm here.

quirkychick · 03/09/2026 11:19

@ReadingTime I also have very similar in charcoal - thank you for reminding me. Mine is vintage Jigsaw.

Silverbirchleaf · 03/09/2026 16:21

Those M and S aubergine, wide leg trousers may have just fallen into my trolley, along with other stuff to get free postage.

Own up, who’s been buying the rust top. It’s sold out in my size!

FarriersGirl · 03/09/2026 16:46

I have the rust top - just collected it 😄

EllaPaella · 03/09/2026 18:08

Not clothes but I am lusting after the autumn collection of St Eval candles. I just can’t decide which one I want. Last Christmas I got a large Inspiritus one and it smells amazing, like an open fire, so comforting.
I’ve bought brown Evalina Ugg clogs but it hasn’t been cold enough to wear them yet and a pair of forest green barrel leg fleece lined cords.

I love St Eval. Rosemary and Bay is my favourite Christmas scent. I always return to it.

I would absolutely love some firebirds, but I’m only 5ft and I think even the barrel leg ones would be too long

CointreauVersial · 03/09/2026 21:55

I love those Firebirds too, but they are a bit pricy for joggers.

quirkychick · 04/09/2026 11:43

@EllaPaella those forest green trousers sound amazing! <sits on hands as has enough trousers>. I feel I need to check out the candles too.
