I really like the look of the Sephora AC. I’m a bit surprised that I do, because of the makeup but I think it’ll be exciting to try all the new things.

just looked at sephora …another no from me …at this rate i’m gonna revisit harrods bac …fenwicks might worth a look too but nothing has wowed this year aside from the fragrance advent calendars 😕…..

Yeah, I’ve fixed my list, but somehow I’m still at 40 🤬

I was just having a good look at Selfridges BAC and according to the contents list there’s a 9ml Jo Malone fragrance but the images I think show a 30ml. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have just counted off the app and they only list 40 so number 41 is a surprise or they have done a Vogue and counted 3 single use masks as 3 products.
The Haus Labs shade is Ruby, Merit blush is Fox, Tower 28 Ube Vanilla and SF blush is Pink Sunset.
You also get one of 3 SDJ body washes and two different Laura Mercier Cafe Noir or modern rose and Mac is Creme in your Coffee

Sephora's not on my list. I already have an SF blush from the CB GWP, a K18 product from SNK last year, and Phlur and Kayali fragrances.

I did my spreadsheet earlier, and for SNK, I will only sell three items. LF is looking promising, as is CB. Elle has been written off, as there's just not enough in it that I really want.

I’m holding firm in my Liberty. But mention of ASOS reminded me that I got it for my mum and sister a few years ago and if it’s decently priced I might do that again.

So I’ll be looking out for that!

I really like the look of Sephora, its my frontrunner for my one and only BAC.

I'm really hoping to get the Selfridges FAC and will forsake Lookfantastic, John Lewis and Boots fragrances calendars because its a better option for me. Still keen to see HN and SNK fragrance advents too.

You're not a party pooper at all! You've actually asked the question which is the main reason we're all here, spending hours dissecting advent calendars 🤣

Obviously the value is there when something is £250 but has over £1,000 worth of products, but the main question we all ask ourselves is is that value there for me? Will I use most of it? Are the makeup shades right? And that's what we all do here. We look beyond the adverts and headlines and really dig into whether it's right for us individually.

Something I love might not be right for the next person and vice versa. I think you've hit the nail on the head about sample sizes and makeup shades too. Sometimes something looks great on paper, but when you look closer, you realise you wouldn't actually use it.

That's probably half the fun of these threads though. We all have different priorities, so we pick apart the contents, work out the actual value and decide which ones are worth our money. Or occasionally enable each other into buying one we absolutely didn't need. 🤣🎄

No but it must be very soon. They've revealed at least half via influencers.

I hope not too! I woyld think all the products were ordered and paid for a while ago so they'll want to get them sold regardless.

I have HFAC and HBAC ordered. Just waiting for Diptyque, then decide between that or JM, or F&M. I usually buy SNK, but it’s looking unlikely this year.

I was wondering if they would do either:

A (comparatively) rubbish but super cheap AC, to shift a lot of stock. A lot of people would buy it for the name at a very low price. (We might not)

Or

Skip this year altogether and reimagine it for next year, based on new criteria.
