Here's hoping for lots more spoilers, bargains, discount codes, and maybe a little self-control (although judging by threads 1 and 2, that seems unlikely! 😄)

I haven’t had many products from advent calendars that had short expiry dates but the little Emma Lewisham moisturiser I got from
a SNK gwp last December was solid when I recently tried to use it. 😔

I am also thinking that if Selfridges price their FAC a lot higher than Harrods it may be a good thing as will stop me feeling I absolutely need to buy it. I would probably look for the fragrances I want on Vinted if that is the case.

I also went for it as Mum loves the floral street perfume so that's a stocking fillers for her. I like the sound of one of the others and the father figure one sounds up DDs street.

My only issue with the Selfridges FAC is Ex Nihilo perfumes just don't seem to last on my skin - when I tried the one in the Harrods FAC it disappeared quickly and yesterday I tried the 10ml Lust in Paradise I have from the selfridges edit and same thing - does anyone else have this? I thought they were known for longevity so I'm a bit confused.

Yup. I like some of their perfumes but its as fleeting as Byredo on me so I cannot justify the price.

Jo Malone looks really lovely bit sadly it’s a no from me as Ive got most of the perfumes from previous years. I love the packaging.

It's too expensive for me with not much of a saving. But I might be tempted if I see it in the sales 😀

I find ExNihilo very strong, but all heading to molecule type of scent on dry down. They last days on clothes, but I dont enjoy the ending so much. Many PDM are like that to my nose

Some more cult beauty spoilers. I've also included some we know about as they're double doors, which I don't think we knew about before (we knew the products but not that they came in a drawer with something else).

Also not impressed with the item in day 25 😳 I wonder if there's more in there that's not been revealed yet. Marked as sensitive just incase anyone doesn't want to know the Christmas day drawer.

I don’t think Jo Malone ever reduce. I’m going to keep my eyes open for a GWP (or maybe duty free price if I fly somewhere - or do a Dublin trip for Brown Thomas 😊). Far more attractive than last years. Contents look similar.

I’ve actually been wanting to try this 😂 but maybe they could do with swapping around some drawers. It does often feel
like they think about the whole package of items but not the order of them.

Just accidentally bought the John Lewis travel beauty bag I noticed in my rewards, so I can pretend I won’t buy an advent calendar…

JL is not for me but I did buy the Jarrolds edit as a birthday present and I'm sorely tempted to get one for myself. It comes in a Stackers bag

@MiaN and @MidnightMeltdown some companies definitely put unpopular shades/products in their a/cs to get rid of stuff they can’t sell, plus items they have got for free as samples from companies. I strongly suspect many products in many a/cs are on the ‘older’ side too.

I don’t mind buying ‘old’ Rituals calendars, for example, from the outlets because a) I am choosing to buy older stock, (not buying it unknowingly at full price), and b) imo, shampoo, shower gel, etc. pretty much lasts forever!

Ditto fragrances.

Selfridges FAC leaves me cold, as does their BAC. I react really badly to bites/stings, so bee products are a big no-no for me! However, Lola at Coatcheck, (stupid, stupid name 😹), is the only Discoteque perfume that doesn’t smell of cat urine/toilet cleaner on me. I have a sample and am actually wearing it today!

I am looking forward to seeing what other FAC have to offer.

I am tempted by a Korean calendar this year - but I have so much stuff already.

CB looks quite good from the spoilers. I looked at Anthropologie, but dont fancy it. I know its only Aug, but im dying to get my AC ordered🤣

I quite like CB but it's just not for me. I felt the same last year

Yeah, I imagine that big beauty brands like Space NK move more stock. It’s the department stores that are more likely have older products sitting around. I definitely had some products from Net-a-Porter that looked and smelt like they were past their best.
