Everyone seems very excited about the Selfridges fragrance calendar on Instagram. Seems a lot more love for it than the Harrods one going by the comments

Very true. Plus lots of people moaning that it sold out too fast and they didn’t get one

Having realised it was love at first sight, I panicked that that volume of messages meant the Selfridges FAC had gone on sale and I’d missed it!

I’m going to be in a completely different time zone (7 hours ahead) and mostly completely offline for the next 2 weeks or so, which is going to play absolute merry hell with my nerves if we think it might go live before I’m back in the UK on 31st….🙈🙈🙈

I’m sure I saw something about PureSeoul having one this year…?

I'm expecting it to go on sale on the 1st, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

I've not had a chance to read all the threads yet, so someone may have already said.

But the JL beauty calendar can be bought for £225 by using the beauty 10% off reward in the app and you get free named day delivery too.

Do you think we ought to start saying the Selfridges FAC is a bit sh1t and only complete losers would buy it?

I was thinking this 😅 Everyone has so much love for it that it’s building too much momentum, Harrods was stressful enough and apparently loads of people were disappointed with it and not going to bother😬😅

Oh that’s good, I did wonder whether the discounts could be used on it.
I’m going to have another look in that case, because even though I am still waiting eagerly for SNK & Sephora (and possibly LF), I do like a lot of the JL contents, and at this point I’ve already broken my limit in my head 😅

Advent calendars are so popular now. I bet it's great way to get rid of some aging stock too

Looking at the spoilers the larger No7 advent looks quite good to me. Its been a while since I did the Boots one and the new ranges in that calander look interesting to me this time...

Harrods have now taken the payments for my FAC & BAC, phew 😮‍💨 🥳

Yep. I bought Glossybox last year and it contained a sunscreen which expired before the summer. That was the first and last time I buy anything from Glossybox. They seem to be using the calendar as a way to dump old stock. I have my suspicions that Net-a-Porter were guilty of this too when they did a calendar.

Korean calendars are better in this way. I’ve bought Stylevanna for the past 2 years, and everything had an expiry date on it that was at least 2 years in the future. With others, you can never be too sure about how old the products are.

The products that I’ve received from the big beauty brands (Space NK, Cult Beauty and Sephora) seem the most fresh, although I think Cult Beauty and Sephora in particular have been guilty of dumping unpopular make-up shades in their calendars.
