Apparently (according to Google), Selfridges unlocked members got emails informing them the BAC was live on Sept 1st at 7am. I can't actually verify that myself but my plan is to start checking from around 25th August onwards at 7am if they don't confirm a date. My best guess would be either 31st August (less likely as its a Bank Holiday I think) or 1st Sept again.

I'm a unlocked member and I haven't received this email, I am only level 1 though, I wonder if different levels will receive different sale times 🤔

Grr I'm away on 31st somewhere limited phone reception although traveling home that day.

I reckon 1st is more likely and a few will release that day.

Oh no I escaped all the harrods drama but i do like this and can imagine it will sell quick. Are we thinking price will be similar to the harrods one. Although if it sells out but then instore I have a chance of one as can get to a selfridges not a harrods.🤩

I was a bit sad yesterday and tried this for the liberty last year which is why I knew the Verden was £7. This was as far as I got and doesn't inc postage. You can see how many I priced up and I stopped at £219 because still plenty left on list.
I actually picked up a Zelens for £3 plus extras yesterday though so it all depends.

So far by best scoring beauty advent is elle then harrods. JL and F&M were scored very poorly for me.

@Hicupping i admire your precision and analysis. I had totally missed the Elle advent. It looks great for that price point. I would like to try the biotech eye serum which if it’s full size is £75 so covers a large portion of this advent. I will be keeping an eye on this one.

I asked dh if he would buy me a BAC for my birthday in October. He’s only gone and ordered Vogue, as he saw me looking at the email earlier. That was before I’d seen the contents of the Selfridges FAC 🙈. I do like the look of Vogue but Selfridges have knocked it out of the park with this one. Oh well I’ll have to try and get that one myself I suppose. I’m still interested in seeing what SNK have to offer. I think September is going to be an expensive month.

I'd really like to try the Murad serum as the moisturiser from this retinal range that came with the Debenhams edit I'm quite liking, hopefully it's having some positive anti-aging. As I like the b12 mask I want to try the serum, the bioeffect eye is again a would love to try and I'll make use of the Votary balm too, all that is more than the cost, so it passes that test. I can only count 22 items though so thinking there's more to come.

I'm going to be in Ireland till the end of September for work, so my first stop on a day off will be Brown Thomas. I'm also driving back to the uk so may end up with a bootful of BAC's 😂

My new favourite time wasting activity is asking AI to compare the products from various BAC. The verdict for JL, F&M and Selfridges -
Final Summary

I’m definitely not a high-fashion glamour or viral trends person so I’m confidently leaving the Selfridges one well alone!

I wasn't signed up to Selfridges last year so I can only go off Google. I do wonder if it was like the Harrods debacle, where they get you to sign up but it's pot luck as to whether you receive an email/notification. I do get quite a lot of Selfridges notifications but I bet I don't get the one for the FAC because I really want it 😂

@Nomorechocs I have been using AI to let me know if I would like the Selfridges FAC based on my likes. Looks like it’s on the list! I don’t like to know what’s in any calendar line by line as it spoils the surprise so AI has been a great help.

I asked AI to try to guess when the Selfridge's FAC release date would be and what it thinks the other fragrances will be (Thameen, mind games and liquides imaginaires). I've now ran out of responses for a few hours 🤣

I asked ChatGPT about the Selfridges FAC and she said...

She's not helping me trying to keep to two calendars 😂😂

i asked the same thing and it guessed the 1st september …(as the BAC came out then last year) the fragrance wardrobe came out on the 8th sept last year (according to chatgpt)

Hi all, keep dipping in and out of this thread. I’m desperate to see the SNK advent reveal. Every single year I say I’ll treat myself and never do, and this year has been a shocker so this year is my year!

I also love the idea of buying my partner a men’s perfume calander, do we know if there’s any out there? TIA.

Just had a proper look at the full list for Selfridges BAC and decided it’s definitely not for me. Most of the value is in the bee venom serum, which states you need to be cautious using it if you have a bee allergy. I have had 2 bee stings and both times the area got very swollen and painful so don’t want to risk the serum. The other expensive items are the full sized discotheque fragrance which I am not sure I will like and the AB rich cream. Kind of relieved it is a pass for me as I don’t need to be tempted by any more!

Hi all, good to be back again for this year's avalanche of advents! So far I'm passing on Selfridges, JL and Liberty, not enough products I want to tempt me in any of them. However, Harrods is looking very good this year, so I placed an order, which I can always cancel if I change my mind and SNK outdoes them again.

I definitely do! Do we know when it will be out?

Selfridges BAC is a pass for me, one more off the list. I got very concerned when I saw the number of messages I'd missed today 😅

Think the selfridges fac is a belter! Their bac seems a bit basic though.

Last year Flannels did a pretty good men's (and women's version) fragrance cracker. It was travel sizes and minis but nice. Not too expensive and it also got discounted.

Sorry now new info but just to say that Selfridges are advertising their calendars on Insta.
