I don't know, I look like a dork in mine. But I'm pale af, have a long work to work, live near the coast (strong winds), and baseball cap is the only things that works. They also leave my ears uncovered so i can wear my headphones over the top to keep the hat on in the wind - Can't be dealing with ear buds falling out and hats blowing off everywhere.

Yeah I've given up being cool :) Might get some mittens on string for winter..

I have only ever found one that I like and that suits me, and it's a cheap faded denim one from H&M.

I only wear it for long walks in bright sunshine and/or when my roots need doing.

What I don't understand is wearing the caps backwards. I associate this "look" with a low IQ. lol

Agreed. Lower-profile 'dad' caps or traditional baseball cap shape are cool, trucker style ones or big flat snapback ones aren't (at the moment).

All this talk of baseball caps made me buy one! A faded grey denim/ cotton one from a market in France for €12. It looks ok, it kept the sun out of my eyes and did not blow off (I have a straw hat with me but it’s been too windy!)

I wear one for sports, I cycle a lot, and it is very practical if you dont get on with sunglasses.

I have an Adidas one. It's not particularly cool. It is light, cool material and colours I suit though!

Yes I have one like this and I’m 41! I think I’m cool. My kids and husband think not. They’re obviously wrong 🙄

It’s a purely personal response but I do not believe they look cool on anyone.

Good for keeping the rain off glasses all year round in a way that a hood or umbrella alone can't achieve.
Also stops the skin cancer a bit .

as mentioned by a pp, apparently Loro Piano baseball caps are cool, if that's your particular criteria..

They are only ever cool when worn backwards, like Poochy in the Simpsons. He was a cool dude.

I look ridiculous in baseball caps and have too much hair to fit under them.

BUT I went to a volksfest a couple of summers ago and got a trucker hat from vantastic and it looks great!! It’s wider so it makes my already wide face look slimmer and it is almost square ish so there’s more room for my hair. I love it!!

Purchased in the pissing rain that day so I never even looked in the mirror before plonking it on my head and it’s the best hat I own.

Just get a plain one in an interesting colour that suits your colouring. Bend the visor to suit your face shape. Nothing too bright and ideally cotton type material not nylon and shiny.

Oh and look at Colourful Standard for nice colours and organic cotton

I don't see the point of them because they add a layer of insulation to make your head even warmer in hot weather without giving all-around sun protection.

If I'm keeping light out of my eyes whilst driving, I wear a sun visor to avoid heating my head. If I'm outdoors, I wear a proper hat with a brim all the way around.

Wether something is "cool" or not seems very subjective.
I really dont like logos, particularly garish ones. i prefer quality fabrics that fit comfortably in neutral colours, that are well made,my daughter on the other hand prefers the opposite!
