Say like size 14 but curvy or size 10 but no arse and just like a stick.

I’m a size 12/14 hourglass, so curvy, and I’m very happy with my figure. I don’t think I would want to be a stick but honestly I just want to be healthy.

Lellamir · 22/07/2026 10:37

Curvy.
I've been tall and slim with big boobs and no arse, for most of my life.
As I've aged, and become less active, I've put on a lot of weight (5'8, 12st), but I haven't turned curvy.
I'm like a brick s**t house. A block with flabby bits.
NOTHING fits. NOTHING looks good.
Gimme curves, any day.

Inmyuggs · 22/07/2026 10:47

How about a curvy size 10
Then listening to dont u eat or gosh u have a large chest for your proportions really pissed me off when larger women 14+ called me a skinny or the instant dislike.
Size 10 is not a stick, some are born lean or are short smaller woman.
Now a 12 id rather be either - without the dumb comments.
We cant win.

Regularmumm · 22/07/2026 10:48

Curvy definitely . No desire to look like a skinny ten year old boy.

Yes, I remember walking into my office once, and the admin woman exclaiming 'wow, skinny, no arse and big boobs. You'd usually need to be fat to have boobs like that'.
I was young and didn't really know how to stick up for myself.
I'm really self conscious. The same admin woman couldn't accept that I didn't want any kind of acknowledgement of my birthday, so I declined to tell her when it was.
One day, I walked into a work event, and everyone sang Happy Birthday. There was a cake and everything - but it want my birthday.
I was mortified.
Blimey; this was all 20 years ago! This thread has really raised some memories.

Size 10 isn’t skinny imo, just a normal size. I think we have somewhat lost sight of what normal is. I wouldn’t like to be size 12/14 as to me that would feel very over weight (I am short) in terms of health and fitness, + I think clothes generally look better in slimmer people.

Darkdiamond · 22/07/2026 10:59

I am an 8-10 and definitely not skinny. I would pick skinny over curvy any day. I'm curvy.

HScully · 22/07/2026 11:02

I am size 10 and curvy, at the top end of a healthy BMI I would like to drop a few pounds

Error404FucksNotFound · 22/07/2026 11:03

Id love to be skinny

AnonyMumAuDHD · 22/07/2026 11:04

I’m a curvy size 10… BMI24.9. Plenty of bum and boob (E-cup), yet also slim.

It’s not a choice - body shape tends to be genetically determined. You work with what you’ve got.

WishingGoats · 22/07/2026 11:06

VERY SKINNY (but I do have an eating disorder)

CypressMoon · 22/07/2026 11:09

I'd like a stick thin size 10. Just because I have always been curvy, even when i was size 6-8. Some clothes I adore just don't suit curvy bodies, and my style is too dictated by what suits my shape rather than my personality.

I'd love, just for a while, to be stick thin.

My ideal though, long term, would be muscular size 10 with a bit of a curve.

Retro12 · 22/07/2026 11:09

I don't think size 10 is a stick... I think that's quite rude!

I like an athletic build, so some muscle definition. I've always had big boobs for my frame and I would like them to be smaller and a nice defined bum

Berlinlover · 22/07/2026 11:13

Size 6 is skinny. Size 10 isn’t.

Jerrybalanitis · 22/07/2026 11:16

Skinny. Having been fat as well, I can confirm people are nicer to thin, healthy people. I think its partly because people who take care of themselves are happier and easier to deal with.

Livelovelaughfuckoff · 22/07/2026 11:18

It's an odd question because not all size 14's look "curvy" and not all size 10's look like a stick. Some people at size 14 will feel like a shapeless sack of spuds and some size 10 will have beautiful curves.

SuddenLull · 22/07/2026 11:20

I'd love a completely linear, up and down, flat-chested figure. I've always had breasts and would really like not to, purely from the POV of the hang of clothes -- I love the kinds of look that just don't work with curves.

WestSussexWitch · 22/07/2026 11:21

Size 10 isn’t skinny, I’m 5,3 and a size 8/10 and far from skinny, I wouldn’t even say I’m slim, I’ve got bum and boobs and quite sturdy muscly legs. My friend is 6 inches taller than me and a size 10, she looks very slim due to long slender arms and legs. To answer your question I’d rather be curvy than skinny.

BringBackCatsEyes · 22/07/2026 11:22

Skinny people can have curves. Larger people can be straight up and down. Your question doesn’t make sense.

newrubylane · 22/07/2026 11:24

Can we not compare being slim to being like a stick. Because a) it's not accurate, and b) it's rude.

PetiteParakeet · 22/07/2026 11:24

Weird question framing “like a stick”. I can think of women who look fab with either figure.

Ooofbananas · 22/07/2026 11:25

Much rather be a curvy 14 so women who are would fuck off with the skinny comments.

Gardenisablooming · 22/07/2026 11:29

In 2007 I was 6 stone.
Verge of skeletal...my dp at the time said sex was off the table incase he broke something.
I was going through a bad divorce.
Ptsd territory my GP said. .felt good but due to the control I felt not the sight of myself. Anorexic probably (?)
Now happily remarried and 12 stone (few medical issues over the past 2 years)
En route to losing a few now..
Got married at 10 stone and felt good in myself then

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 22/07/2026 11:31

As PP have said, size 10 isn’t skinny, you can absolutely be curvy at a size 10.

Tbh ‘curvy’ now seems to mean overweight to most people.

SadiraOfTyr · 22/07/2026 11:32

Neither. Proud to have always had an athletic body shape.
