I think you are being coy here? What you are actually asking is not about ‘curvy’ people at all, is it? The thread isn’t really about normal/healthy sized people with hourglass figures v ballet dancer physiques, is it? It’s about whether we’d rather be thin, than fat. And this post is really asking: are fat people are treated differently to thin people?
And we all know that they are. You’d be disingenuous to claim you don’t know that. Fat people are often seen something to be joked about, as people who cannot/do not take care of themselves (poverty, stupidity, poor mental health, lack of education, laziness etc are all subconscious social narratives that people assume underly obesity/being overweight). Slimness is idealised in contemporary culture and has been since the end of WW2 in western/developed countries.
I was never treated badly when I was obese [or ‘curvy’ as my adorable DH still describes me back then], but I KNOW people respond differently to me now that I am a ‘thin’ size 10. In fact I felt largely [pun intended] invisible.
Whether this has changed since losing weight is because I am exuding confidence, have more energy and pep, am smiling more, stepping forward more, dressing differently - I don’t know. I do know that men 20 years younger than me ‘chat me up’ at the bar and that if I pause to cross the road, traffic stops again. I assumed all that had stopped due to ageism - being over 50 - but apparently not.
