Say like size 14 but curvy or size 10 but no arse and just like a stick.

I am 5 foot 4 and have gained weight. I am around 63 kg, no muscle tone and it looks awful on me. Back rolls, flabby arms that flap, the flesh around my hips is like playdough, I've a double chin, a belly like a land mass and thighs that rub together. I look fat but in mini, like a chubby child. Oh to be skinny.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 22/07/2026 11:35

@itstimeforwami6- your prejudice is showing, larger women as the positive description of “curvy” but using the negative insulting “skinny” and “stick” descriptions for slim/thin women.

You clearly want a lot of women to say being curvy is good and desirable and not use words like “fat” or “chubby”, which are the opposites of the insulting “skinny” and “stick” you’ve used.

(plus you need to be really tall to be “skinny” at a size 10.)

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 22/07/2026 11:37

Curvy.

hattie43 · 22/07/2026 11:38

Curvy

upupandaway45 · 22/07/2026 11:39

curvy for sure. I’m a 12 on the bottom and 10 on top. Always had a big arse and and 36c boobs I just think clothes fit better on someone with curves. Clothes kinda just hang on skinny people that have no shape

JojoButBetter · 22/07/2026 11:40

Having been everything ... underweight, skinny, healthy, overweight and obese .... I'd prefer skinny / healthy.

So on a 5ft 7 frame I'd look to be 10 stone.

Underweight and skinny got me the most horrid, negative comments, it seems to be acceptable to bodyshame skinnier women, which explains how I allowed myself to become obese. I have had zero comments on my figure / weight at a larger size.

MiddleAgedDread · 22/07/2026 11:41

A lot of people who are a size 10 aren't stick thin, particularly if they work out! I've been a size 8 and still had a big bum and "athletic thighs".
I'd rather be skinny.

princesspadam · 22/07/2026 11:42

I can’t be curvy it’s just not my shape

im slim or fat

currently slim size 8-10

RanniTheWitch · 22/07/2026 11:43

Skinny. Couldn’t care less about the size my arse.

Clothes are easy when you’re skinny, things just fit. Two size 18 women could have vastly different proportions due to fat distribution, so different clothes will fit differently on them depending on their shape. Whereas when you have no fat to distribute, bodies are much more similar, so clothes in small sizes tend to just fit skinny women.

TwoCatsandAnxiety · 22/07/2026 11:44

Do you mean skinny as in straight up and down, not much bum or boob? I’d hate that.

curvy but healthy please.

Overtheatlantic · 22/07/2026 11:45

It’s natural but I’ve lost 45 lbs in the past year so it’s gone back to being an hourglass. Although now it’s got a tummy attached 🥴

autumn1610 · 22/07/2026 11:46

If my stomach was a little less chunky I would be very happy with my figure. I’m a 14/16 curvy/hourglass. I’d be sad if I lost my curves. My ideal would be around a size 12 I think

Melancholyflower · 22/07/2026 11:49

newrubylane · 22/07/2026 11:24

Can we not compare being slim to being like a stick. Because a) it's not accurate, and b) it's rude.

I know! Can you imagine if someone asked would you prefer to be a slim size 10 or a size 14 just like a tank?

KayFabe · 22/07/2026 11:56

I would like wider hips and an arse - I'm straight up and down when the correct weight for my frame, and a solid apple when I gain weight. Would be happy with a smaller chest as it just gets in my way, and I always pick minimising brassieres. I'd have loved a pear shape, but I basically got my dad's body, with large breasts 🙄

dontmalbeconme · 22/07/2026 12:00

I think a curvy shape is more attractive than a straight shape. I think, in general, a size 10 would be seem as more attractive/healthier than a size 14. A curvy size 10 with decent boobs and bum and a small waist would be the dream, no?
(Sadly, I'm a fat apple shape with no bum, no amount of dieting or exercise will make me a curvy size 10!)

Happyjoe · 22/07/2026 12:00

I am curvy but always wanted a boy figure because of fashion. So much is made to suit people without curves, which is mad really considering women tend to have them.

I also hate having big boobs, pita.

CheerfulBunny · 22/07/2026 12:02

I feel 'freer' somehow when I'm slimmer. I can't stand the feeling of tight waistbands and things digging in. Sure, you can keep on buying bigger sizes for comfort but where does it end? Plus boots never fit my legs and I've never had a thigh gap, even as an 8. I tend towards the curvy and struggle to stay around the 10/12 mark these days. It must feel lovely to be naturally skinny and light.

Btowngirl · 22/07/2026 12:03

I’m size 12 curvy, just about hourglass but close to becoming pear after almost 2 years breastfeeding lol. I would love to be a slim clothes horse with no chub rub! I’ve been upto a size 18/20 in my life through, even at peak health, fitness & focus I still looked curvy, I dress for my body but I’d love to be able to throw anything on and look stylish.

deetss · 22/07/2026 12:05

No woman is like a stick. That's an offensive description. Do you talk about men's bodies that way?

Thisthreadhasbeendeleted · 22/07/2026 12:05

MsIceSandwich · 22/07/2026 11:39

OP, you have the conversational skills of a stick.

Yeah @itstimeforwami6!
You've only asked questions in each of your subsequent posts. You haven't explained why you're asking in the first place, or described your own body shape.
What's the craic with that?

TooMatchaMatcha · 22/07/2026 12:06

Skinny, for sure! Clothes look more elegant and you project a more professional and disciplined image.

PrettyLittleRose · 22/07/2026 12:06

I can't imagine why ANYone would aspire to be skinny (no curves, no hips, very small breasts, just rail thin.) I know some people are like this naturally so bashing being skinny isn't cool, any more than bashing being fat is, but the OP asked, and IMO I would NOT want to be skinny...

I also don't understand how anyone can possibly be happy with being fat/obese either. It doesn't look good and it isn't healthy. I don't believe anyone who is fat is happy. I mean actually fat, like 4-5 stone overweight or more. Not the Mumsnet fat where you're fat if you're over a size 10, or more than 9 and a half stone. 🙄 I also struggle to understand how being skinny can make anyone happy, because the skinny people I know/have ever known rarely eat, and are constantly watching every single morsel that passes through their lips.

Me personally, I would much rather be curvy than skinny.

I would hate to look like the woman in pic 1 here OR the woman in pic 3. The woman in pic 2 (in the black bikini) has the perfect figure IMO. Fortunately for me, the woman in pic 2 (in the black bikini) is the closest to what my body is like, and I am very happy with it. I could maybe do with losing 10 pounds, but I'll do for now. Smile

I've got ridiculous norks and no arse.

PrimRoseLaffington · 22/07/2026 12:07

Skinny.

Of the two suggested, I'd go for the size 10. But I wouldn't see this as skinny at all. I would see a size 10 as kind of chunky.

My ideal woman's body is Camila Zamorano.
Small, slim, toned to fuck.
