Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

@Stopyourhavering64thats a great tip about topcashback I didn’t think to use it with Libertys!

I’ve just preordered the calendar now, had £40 in my beauty pot and £20 in vouchers so that was a bit off it and then the topcashback to come back as well!

TCB may not pay out on the A/C purchase as it is listed as an exclusion. Some do slip through though, so 🤞.

IlovePond · Yesterday 12:51

Yes, I got £9 back from TCB last year on Liberty - every little helps!

I’ve been watching you tube vids and have made my decisions . This year I’m going for Jo Loves and Diptique. I love the packaging of the liberty but I have really sensitive skin and can’t wear a lot of products so it seems a bit risky .

I might join you with the Jo loves this year. I’ve thought about a diptique for years but a few years ago they had an outlet store in Bicester where they had the advent calendars heavily discounted so in my weird mind I now can’t buy it unless I see another one discounted because I’m still kicking myself for not buying it at the time. Anyone know where there is a diptique discount store?

Growlybear83 · Yesterday 16:46

I would love Diptyque as well. I didn’t consider it seriously last year as I already had little bottles of several of the fragrances that were included but I might be tempted this year. I was looking through my stash earlier and I don’t think I can get a non perfume calendar this year as Ive still got so much left. It seems to take me ages to get through face products. 😆

@pinkchampagne1 - it looks like it, as I don’t really want any of the non-perfume items either, (apart from the MZ product and the magnesium spray!)

It’s so annoying, as I have been saving up for the calendar in BD since last July and I feel like I have thrown that money away now as I NEVER buy from Liberty ordinarily, so it’s not like I can just go and buy something else. (I actually really dislike it as a shop and they don’t stock most of the brands I buy.) I would never spend £150/£200 on an edit or similar, for example.

Tbf, I did buy, (and like), the sleep edit, but that is the only thing I have bought from Liberty, (apart from calendar 25), in the last 15 years or so!

Last year’s calendar was very much a special purchase that I really enjoyed, (despite a few DODs). It’s totally my own fault for assuming that this one would also be about 75% ok to exciting!

I will see what the men’s calendar is like and also the summer GWP, then make a decision.

This is exactly what I came here to say.
I only joined BD to save for the AC because I missed out last year and thought this was a good way to do it.

I think the problem I'm realising is in the last year I've become content with low-mid range and i don't get why certain things are so expensive in Liberty.

But when I joined BD I thought I'd like to treat myself to a luxury calender when actually is probably be happier with JL or M&S!

So what is worth buying with BD credit?

Lurkingshark · Yesterday 17:10

BD credit - kits, fabric, specific perfume in sales or GWP times, collabs, the sales can be very good in person ( they had a couple of wool capes this time), scarves.

but mainly kits for me.

Beautyfox · Yesterday 17:27

The beauty kits are my thing too. They often have a GWP august so if it was me I would wait until then and buy a kit or two with the BD credit and get a free GWp. However, I’m a sucker for a GWP.

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 18:15

So what is worth buying with BD credit?

Anything you’ve particularly enjoyed in the boxes? I’m not getting the calendar this year because it just doesn’t fire my rockets so I’m buying my favourite eye wateringly expensive scent. My favourite BD money buy was a huge clear acrylic bangle in the sale.

HollyGolightly4 · Yesterday 20:57

Boots calendars were very reasonable last year, for the more basic ranges. I particularly enjoyed the premium one, I used a lot of it.

SheilaFentiman · Yesterday 21:09

I’m wondering about getting a boots one.

SheilaFentiman · Yesterday 21:56

That does look v nice @Sminty2 !
