Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

There's a number of others with waitlists open and it's been announced that the 3 Harrods calendars are coming soon.

I think my Harrods FAC arrived late August and my beauty one came the very first week of September

@BookShark my prediction is for next Mon/Tue but I'm checking several times a day now because they were a bit ahead in their marketing/reveals so that could indicate a slightly earlier release.

Yes, it is usually the first week in August. Was Monday 4th last year so maybe next Monday (3rd) but it is definitely good to check daily as they can surprise you

Mon / Tues next week is when I'm thinking too. I kinda want it to happen so I know if I've been successful in the first stage. Obviously then it's whether or not they oversell and end up cancelling your order. I remember last year, we all freaked out when the money was returned to our bank accounts 🙈🤣I don't trust them until it's actually in my hands.

Ah yes! I've just looked and my fragrance calendar arrived on 30th August and the beauty one arrived on the 1st September.

I think next week is the most likely too. I’ve been having a massive sort out and sadly what that has made me realise is I probably have enough perfume for maybe 3 years PLUS an unopened HN advent, half of the perfumes are unopened and the other half 75% full from Harrods advent 2024, unopened Harrods scent tote and both of the liberty scent kits from last year so I think I’m going to pass on the Harrods fragrance calendar this year. This decision feels remarkably sensible for me and if they don’t launch it very quickly I may even have forgotten about my stash and think I need it.

To ensure that this doesn’t happen with regards the beauty advents I am absolutely not even looking at my stash until after they are all ordered. 🙈

@Beautyfox I feel a bit the same. There's a couple of perfumes in it I would really like so I will order if I get the opportunity but I've decided I won't be majorly devastated if I miss out (maybe...it's easy to say that now 😂).

Yeah, I don’t find Living Proof any different to Batiste in terms if performance, and Bastiste is significantly cheaper (plus you can get it in dark brown).

Same for me. Living Proof was underwhelming for me so I stick with Batiste.

I managed to find a sample of Oud for Greatness (think it came in the JL calendar last year) and I didn’t like it at all. A lot of these Oud fragrances remind me of incense sticks from the 90s!

There are a few others that I’m not keen on so I might skip Harrods Fragrance this year (although will no doubt get FOMO when it comes out!).

I watched the planning with crystal vid last night. I dont think ill be getting either the beauty one and ill be honest the fragrance one isn't blowing me away so not too bothered if I miss out.
I have a hn fragrance from last year unopened and possibly a space nk. Bought 2 of each in the end. 😳
My first year on here and selling on vinted so did go mad buying. Im sorting atm. Still have the lancome set a few of us bought. Im definitely being more sensible this year. Not getting liberty or any of the harrods one atm.
May think about jo malone as i do like a lot of her fragrances. Got several minis with cults 5 for a fiver. Not had 1 I didnt like yet.

I'm still not massively sold on the Harrods BAC so I think that's going to be a skip. Liberty still on the table just due to the amount I have towards it in BD vouchers.

Obviously there's still loads of BACs to reveal yet but it would be a massive personal win if I buy 3 or under this year. Strong chance I'll go for SNK but that does depend on the 'star' products in this years. I could see Cult Beauty putting the Medik8 advanced peptides in their BAC this year. Vogue is always a wild card and they usually reveal quite late.

Thinking of the Harrods fragrance a/c reminded me of all the a/c perfumes that went on eBay last year. Some were listed by ordinary buyers who just didn’t like x, y or z, but a lot were from the ‘professional’ resellers.

Out of curiosity I had a look on eBay last night and quite a few people are still trying to flog perfumes from the 2025 calendar. (I just know that would be me if I bought this year’s fragrance calendar then tried to sell stuff I didn’t like!)

For example, I noticed there’s quite a few of the Vanilla Powder on eBay from last year’s Liberty, but still overpriced - imo - for 6ml.

I always wonder how long people are prepared to keep things listed at a high price when no one is buying it.

Oh I remember the panic when our money was returned to our bank accounts. I went on the live chat and they reassured me it would be delivered but I didn’t believe it until it arrived.
Wasn’t it the year before when they cancelled orders and you had to reorder? I didn’t get one that year but remember reading about it.

I sold some perfumes on Vinted, but put them on quite cheap just to get rid of them. A lot of the 8-10ml I put on for below £10 pounds. I sold the Rude Oud from Harrods for £50 and the Brompton Immortals for £75. I sold one of the Liberty 8ml for £8! I didn’t even think of asking here as the thread wasn’t open when I sold. If I have anymore I’ll let you all know before listing.

Harrods have started sending out the FAC to influencers by the looks off it, came across a lady unboxing it on Tiktok.

This annoys me, they do a limited amount and waste a load sending them to influencers. It doesn't need influencers promoting it, it sells out super fast 😡

If the spacenk calendar is good it might push me into deluxe tier ndulge. My spend reset for building to deluxe seems to be March 2027, does anyone know if that means I'd lose deluxe at that point if I got it next month, or whether I get a full 12 months of deluxe? My birthday is in April so I'll be annoyed if the former - I want the big gift!

I sold vanilla powder on Vinted a few weeks ago, I think for around £20, but it does retail in the 6ml size for £38 😳.

It sold pretty quickly (within 24 hours) so it must be popular, but I didn’t like it. I think I’m quite fussy with fragrances! 😂

I had 3 fragrance calendars last year (it wasn’t my fault they were reduced!), plus extra fragrances in beauty calendars, so I still haven’t tested all of them yet. Another reason why I don’t need another fragrance calendar this year!

I assume that the brands involved in the calendar want a certain amount of promotion though.

I’ve just sold a bundle including Sparkling Jo and Ds and Durga from the Liberty calendar plus a couple of smaller bottles for £20. I sold the Vyrao a while ago for maybe £8 and my vanilla powder went pre Christmas for £18.

I’m interested in the Harrods BAC, probably not the FAC, although I may get caught up in the excitement..so who knows 😁

I’m waiting for the Jo Malone reveal, as I may get that or Dyptique, or F&M. In fact I have no idea what I’m doing 😆
