Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

There's a number of others with waitlists open and it's been announced that the 3 Harrods calendars are coming soon.

I signed up to the Boots calendar wait list and it had three options you could say you were interested in: premium, skincare and fragrance. That seems a pretty strong indication that they will also be selling a fragrance calendar this year.

Actually, good question. I think some of us assumed they are doing a separate fragrance calendar, but it may be a mix of beauty & fragrance.

All Beauty are great. I've purchased from there a lot. They have a 4.7☆ rating on trustpilot.

I think Harrods are playing games I just got an app notification from them having not had any for ages…..clicked on it expecting (hoping) Advent Calendar news/release… nope just a ‘new for now’ article….wonder if they are just testing it out or maybe they have been doing app notifications for a while and i’ve not paid attention before?

I only downloaded the Harrods app recently, I had no notifications at first but the past week I’ve had a couple. Again, not sure if this is normal or a test ahead of advents 😬

Same !! I panicked when I saw it and leaped to see what it was 🤣at least I know I’m getting notifications, if that’s the way they will do it . I don’t trust them after last year when I missed out 🥲

I was going through some stuff today and found a box with various bits from last years advents 🙈 I was well aware that the box existed but I thought I’d moved all of the advent stuff into my drawers, so now I’ve got even more dated stuff to get through 😬
I also came across a CT magic body cream that I’d forgotten about.

On a similar note, I used an SDJ body cream yesterday, the Rosa (dewy) one. It smelled like celery on me 🤷‍♀️😅

I downloaded it a few months ago and have never had a notification. I’m getting worried 😃

I have also had no notifications, despite allowing all communication options and joining months ago.
I’ve decided not to worry- although I’ll keep checking- whatever will be, will be.
However, I did have an anxious dream about it last night and woke up in a sweat (not unusual, meno 🙄).
The dream, which was one of those very realistic ones- I got the heads up to pre order the FAC went to the app to order, got two (two, why two!) in my basket and it wouldn’t let me check out. I eventually got through to checkout and found we all had to go and collect our calendars from the Royal Albert Hall. I didn’t want to do that so went back from checkout, was able to change to delivery but couldn’t check out again. Woke up kicking myself for not agreeing to collect from the Royal Albert Hall.
Clearly more bothered than I make out 😂

I'm not receiving notifications from the Harrods app either. I might delete and redownload. I have a mini stroke every time I come online and have a load of notifications.
@Addictedtobeauty I also had a nightmare over it last night. I dreamt that I made a pact with my friend that if she sees the Harrods FAC before me, that she'd let me know and vice versa. On the day, she didn't tell me, but she'd bought a few of them and then was trying to sell me one at double the price. Well, I'm not sure I want to be friends with her now when she goes back on her pacts 🤣

All yesterday’s talk of the fragrance a/c made me decide to create my own from perfume I had already put into my over-stuffed DIY Liberty calendar.

Why I decided to do this at 1am, I don’t know, but I dug out my old Clarins 12 day a/c box and put all the perfume in my refilled Liberty into that instead. I still have a few drawers to fill, but I felt quite pleased with myself!

However, whilst I was doing this, I found a SK make up edit that I had given DH to put away for me for Xmas. I had done a really good job of forgetting this existed so I put some of it into the DIY Liberty, decided to use a few bits now and set aside a couple of items to put on eBay when I go ‘live’ again in January, (they have 2029 expiry dates).

Thank goodness I didn’t succumb to temptation and do another SK order yesterday!

For reasons best known to myself I have also downloaded the Harrods app 🐑 but I am not getting notifications either!

I have just watched planning with Crystal’s round up of the Harrods calendars too. Still liking the look of the beauty calendar but would have preferred one of the eye creams to have been a moisturiser. The only items I definitely would have no use for are the shampoo & conditioner as they wouldn’t suit my hair, the hairspray and the eyelash curler.

I think I will try to get the fragrance calendar even though I don’t need it and have just had the Liberty scent kit delivered.😐 However the hair one doesn’t interest me at all.

I’ve had the app ages over a year and had no notifications , I emailed them they said it was all good . I got one email then nothing again . I don’t know how we are going to know except keep 👀👀👀👀👀👀 . I don’t even know if I want it that badly I’m still coveting last years .

does anyone here watch Daniel Rene on tik took I’ve just started using tik tok for the good deals on LiB . Nd I’m hoping that lot will also be on the money with advents ??🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Unlike MissBoux she doesn’t seem to have thousands upon thousands of unused beauty items in her house, (of course - she might have!) and she did mention in the Harrods video not wanting to/not being able to fork out for all of the calendars, which made her seem a bit more ‘human’/sensible, (if that makes sense!)

It doesn’t bother me if presenters don’t have all/most items to hand - I am happy with a picture and a RRP, plus thoughts on a particular product.

I wish all the big beauty a/c companies would hurry up and let us know the contents as I love watching the videos! (I know it’s only July 🙈)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one dreaming about the calendar. I'm not sure which is worse, the dreams where the calendar goes on sale and I completely miss it, or the ones where I manage to get the calendar because then I wake up and realise I haven't secured it yet! 😳

I watched PWC earlier, i also like her videos. Im still undecided on the FAC. I'm definitely getting the hair & body one. I quite fancy the Liberty Summer Scent kit and buying Kilian Angels' Share instead of the FAC🫣

I downloaded the Harrods app a few weeks ago as part of my fragrance advent obsession preparation. I've had one notification so far, my heart was pounding and I'm getting on my own nerves with all this now 🤣
Not had a dream about it but I have a recurring one where I fill a huge bag with bargain pic'n'mix and then wake up so I know the pain!

I've got last years empty Liberty out and started to re-fill it as my frankenstein. My little tip for anyone doing this is to turn the empty boxes upside down so you don't see reminders of what's in there when you're adding to it.
I bought the other Fabbrica perfume that wasn't in my Liberty kit on Vinted to add to this; the box was too big thpugh so I've enjoyed using it this weekend instead. I need at least 14 more products and want to fill it ASAP so I have longer to forget the contents!

@Addictedtobeauty @JoRaRaRa Loving your AC dreams 🤣 I keep getting stressed whenever I get a notification from Harrods or I come on the thread and see loads of posts.

@TreesinthePark I’m loving your pic ‘n’ mix dreams. I still miss the days of going to Woolworths and seeing the impressive display of treats!

I’ve had quite a few notifications after I updated the app last week and every time my bp goes up. 😂

Apologies if I've missed this but if Harrods does go on sale today, do we have any idea of the delivery window? I'm away for the first half of August and while I could get it delivered to DPs it will result in (a) comments about whether that's a sensible investment and (b) DM inevitably staking a claim on some of the contents!

And yes, it's gone midnight, and no, it's not on sale yet...
