Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

Yes to the k18 dry shampoo. Best one out there by a country mile. I am also hoping snk put it in their advent this year.

MidnightMeltdown · 25/07/2026 10:27

Oooh, I now want to try the k18 dry shampoo too! I can’t believe the full size is £48 on Cult Beauty 😮

Addictedtobeauty · 25/07/2026 11:10

I’ve always found Living Proof dry shampoo to be the best- now I need to try K18.

Baielysfromashoe · 25/07/2026 11:14

Does anyone know if there’s a less skin care heavy AdC? My skin has decided that any cream or serum except from an aqueous cream from Australia will cause cystic acne.
I need to go for the perfume ones this year!!

IlovePond · 25/07/2026 11:28

@Baielysfromashoe - there’s the fragrance specific calendars - e.g. Harrods and, last year, LF.

I vaguely remember that Sephora did one that was mostly own brand makeup and accessories. Revolution - and maybe LIB - I think, as well.

Liberty has loads of perfume and some make up in it this year - skincare too, though.

If you are ok with body, but not face products, then Rituals might be suitable.

Willow742 · 25/07/2026 12:19

Hehehe I'm so sorry for the Airwash influencing everyone - I tried it when it first came out in spacenk and became obsessed. It was also in the CEW Awards edit last Christmas so I bought 3.

Just a note, it doesn't work like other dry shampoos, you only need 1/2 spritzes per section then let it dry and brush through. If you overdo it your hair can get a bit knotty (which I still prefer over my usual greaseball)

I think Harvey Nicks and spacenk (they came out after the main calendar last year) will have their fragrance advent again this year, there are rumours of boots doing one too.

Addictedtobeauty · 25/07/2026 13:05

And Selfridges are hinting they are doing a FAC this year too.

I should have some of that dry shampoo then as I definitely bought the CEW edit. Now where on earth is it …🙈🙄

LightandBreezy · 25/07/2026 13:27

I discovered the K18 via the CEW edit and it's not even something I'd generally purchase but it's great stuff and has been really useful. IMO it's better than the living proof one that I also got in an edit at some point.

LightandBreezy · 25/07/2026 13:31

I'm quite jealous you bought 3 of those @Willow742 it was a great edit! I sold the perfume, mascara and peptide lip balm ( can only wear tubing mascaras and have a huge amount of lip balms) but have really enjoyed using everything else so far. I still haven't made it to the dermalogica serum yet, have you tried it and did you rate it if so?

Boots are also doing a fragrance calendar this year @Baielysfromashoe

I have that. Yes, it is lovely. I was surprised that I liked it as the name suggests it might be sickly sweet but it’s not at all.

I didn't end up trying the dermalogica and sold them on vinted - looking at the ingredients I thought it wouldn't do much for my skin and might irritate me so better safe than sorry.

I love the perfume (gave one to my sister for Christmas too and she's nearly used it up) and I also like the lip balm, sold the mascara though as I have to be careful on ingredients near my eyes too. The K18, perfume & Lisa Eldridge were probably my highlights of the box, but it's definitely my favourite edit so far

I bought 2nd of the SpaceNK advent last year as it had many hits for me. I am happy to have back up as it's nearly go to fragrance for me for office day. I did not expect to like it so much on first sniff.

Defiantly41 · 25/07/2026 21:06

Yep, just spent £48 on the K18 airwash… watch this space! I did like the Living Proof dry shampoo, just that 2 failed to spray after 2-3 uses and nothing I did would make them work!

Also bought my 2nd tube of The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%. Have been using for a week or 2 and definitely making a difference

OvaHere · 25/07/2026 21:45

Harrods fragrance PR advents are appearing on social media. We all need to be checking from now onwards. It's coming soon. 😬

I’ve just watched the Planning with Crystal Harrods calendar video.

My DODs: eyelash serum, Colour Wow hairspray, eyelash curlers and brush

Apart from those four items, I would use everything else in the Harrods beauty calendar. The perfume is an unknown quantity for me, but I can cope with ONE niche perfume, (not making up a third of the calendar!)

If only I hadn’t spent all my money on Liberty BD and amassing the horde/horde as it’s a much better fit for me than Liberty.

I think this is a great calendar for skincare - especially if you want to try high end stuff at a ‘reduced’ price, (and haven’t got tons of stuff already!)

It's currently £33.60 on allbeauty but I don't know how reliable they are. I've ordered the Elizabeth Arden lip repair stuff from them as recommended on the previous thread, so I'll find out soon.

Do you read that as a separate fragrance calendar? Or has it been confirmed elsewhere?

Boots premium had i think three fragrances last year- a big SDJ, floral street and I think another one, but I might be wrong!

Addictedtobeauty · 26/07/2026 05:34

@HollyGolightly4 i think the drop down menu suggests separate.

If you sign up, you get 20% off your first order, which brings it to £30.24. I'm tempted myself. I've used Allbeauty in the past and never had any issues with anything😊

Allbeauty are very reliable, been using them for years.
