Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

There's a number of others with waitlists open and it's been announced that the 3 Harrods calendars are coming soon.

At which stage I will probably accidentally buy a table instead of the advent calendar.

😂 Honestly guys, I’ve bought the Harrods fragrance calendar for the past few years and I’ve never known them to release it in the middle of the night, or even early morning.

I’m a night owl and I’ve seen John Lewis launch their calendar around midnight or 1am, but never Harrods.

I got the 2024 FAC around 11 pm one evening, that was the year they all got cancelled, then released and we all had to phone up! I am sure that was the year of the bun fight.
For 2025 I ordered mine around 1pm first Monday in August on the App.
I am not getting one this year, so someone can have my spot :)

Joining again for this year! Last year I got the Boots skincare calendar which was terrific value and I'd consider that again. Also the LF fragrance one which I'm still working my way through. The one I liked the idea of, but then didn't get, last year was the French Pharmacy so on the lookout to see if it wins me over this year.

My 2024 HFAC was bought at 5.41pm on 7/8/24 (Wednesday)
Last year it was bought at 12:48pm on 4/8/25. (Monday)

I created my mumsnet account last year after months of lurking, just to tell you guys the Harrods calendar was out 🤣 glad to see so many got hold of it as a result - my finest hour 🏅

So what you're all saying is, my beauty sleep is safe. Phew! 😅

I'm really putting all my eggs in the spacenk advent basket I think, my wishlist now includes (based on brands they had last year too or newly launched, so I don't think I'm out of the realms of possibility):

• K18 airwash
• Prequel, I'd love a travel gleanser or even the full size
• SDJ Body Badalada 48 (the pink gel cream - lovely texture and smells delightful)
• Rare Beauty Brown liner or mascara
• JVN volumising wave spray or instant recovery serum
• Amika Soulstruck dry conditioner spray
• Kayali Juicy Apple mini
• Lisa Eldridge Betty palette (OK maybe this is not realistic)

If they had more than half of those in I think I would faint, yet I also don't even think it's impossible...

AND if any of the advents do have the things above in and you're looking to sell them on, I hope you think of me and my big cupboards 😅😍s

@JustWhatIAlwaysWanted - my friend got the Boots skincare a/c last year. I thought it was excellent and I would have got it myself if I hadn’t lost my head and bought Liberty!

@Willow742 - I liked SNK’s 2024 a/c and regretted not buying it, but last year’s didn’t appeal at all. I will be interested to see what it’s like this year.

Last year I was working and as soon as i got on my lunch break (at 1pm) I saw the thread. I put the fragrance advent in my bag and then checked with dh if I should buy it and it sold out in the time he responded. I have the first week of July off so will be checking the app and this thread regularly. Fingers crossed for us all.

I really hope (after a successful 2026 purchase 🙏🏾) that I miraculously stop caring in 2027 because I cannot cope with the anticipation and stress! 🤣

I didn't even buy it myself, don't think I'm interested in this year's either 🤔 Harvey Nicks was much more my vibe last year - love fdb Sirene (my ex got me the full size in 2024 and the box and bottle are the most beautiful thing), any fruity/citrussy scents. Absolutely can't stand oud or floral, I'm just not sophisticated enough 😅

I think i have about 6 in my stash (I could spot a vinted fake now at 20 paces), and I've used 3 bottles over the past year - it's the best best BEST dry shampoo I've ever tried and has changed my hair game completely. I have greasy hair by the next morning after washing, but with K18 I get 3-4 days of it being down and looking decent before it really needs a wash. I pair it with the amika soulstruck or the superfruit oil now as my ends can get a bit dry by day 3 otherwise, but I've cleared out all other dry shampoos as they don't even hold a candle to it.

K18 should pay me for my airwash evangelism 🤣

haven't tried the K18 air wash, but I love the other products, so I’m off to SNK today. Had given up with pricey dry shampoo after a couple of expensive mistakes (Living Proof I’m looking at you) but with fine hair that goes flat the day after washing, I’m happy to try!
