Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

NGL, the Nivea men’s advent calendar provided a bunch of stocking presents for the DCs last year… but then, they want function, not sparkle and magic ❤️

I wasn't trying to be bitchy about Nivea, I just feel there's some dissonance with beauty purists - it's absolutely ok to like nicer textures and fragrances if you want them, right? I do generally only spend more on science-y brands, but equally, if I want to spend more on something just for the scent or texture, it doesn't make me an idiot, it just makes me a hedonist 😂

There’s lots of BACs for all budgets and I think that is brilliant!! I got Lumene but I love reading about all the products in all the calendars. I will definitely keep an eye out for what people like in the space Nk one to help me shop for treats in 2027 🙂

I am wondering if the smaller items will be doubled with something else as there are over 30 items this year, although last year they put the teeny Tatcha in a box on its own, and it was the Christmas Eve box! 😐

I have hinted to my DH that I would love the Harrods BAC for my birthday in October too. 😊

Those eyelash curlers won't be making it to advent if I get the calendar, they'll be getting swapped for something better. I may stick something else in with the Tatcha as well if it looks lonely. I have the memory of a goldfish so it won't spoil it for me to check the drawers in advance.

I think the tatcha will be on its own again. Hopefully not Christmas eve again though. Harrods tend to do the content list on their website in order of the doors, so we might be able to work out what will be doubled up then. Obviously the pk shampoo and conditioner and Otis batterbie products will be together, I'd like to think anyway 🤣

Same, I swapped out the red lipstick and the rodial blush drops last year so I'll probably do the same this year and swap what I definitely don't want. I was able to get the nude Mac lipstick from the look fantastic AC and the merit blush from Sephora AC I think, both from vinted and popped them in 🥰

@JoRaRaRa that's a good idea, there's bound to be something from the other calendars I want.

Looking at that list of Harrods BAC contents, it looks like the Shiseido product is an eye and lip cream rather than a night cream. I would have preferred a night cream as there is already 2 eye creams in there. 😐

I think you could be right. I hope they don’t put it in Christmas Eve again though.

Part of me would love to not watch any spoilers and have it all as a surprise but I know that isn’t realistic. If I have it for my birthday in October, I won’t be trusted to not open a few boxes beforehand. Anyway, how am I supposed to swap any disappointing items like the eyelash curler if I don’t have a little look inside?! 😆

I hope the item’s aren’t listed in the order they will appear in the calendar, as that would make the teeny Tatcha product the Christmas Eve treat again and the CT lipstick the finale in the Christmas Day box. Sure it is a lovely lipstick but not the most exciting thing to receive as the Christmas Day treat.

Oh, Harrods have form for a Christmas Day lipstick. Was it the MAC Ruby Woo one year? Something bright red, anyway.

Having looked up the Rose Portofino shade of the Sisley lipstick I'm now not sure. I thought it would be a bit of a deeper pink. It could look lovely or I'll look like night of the living dead. 😂

That looks very wearable- I don’t look right with strong lippy- never got the hang of applying it so I don’t look like a clown.

I think they probably are in order 😳 looks like the mz skin eye serum and the Shiseido LX eye cream might be in the same drawer though. The revive is a night cream. I think I was more excited at the thought of it being a night cream, I didn't mind 2 eye products and 2 night creams, but it just doesn't seem as balanced now.

The Montale perfume isn't holy musk, yay! I do like the holy musk from the scent tote, but I don't need another bottle so soon.

I'm now wondering, maybe the tatcha and Charlotte Tilbury are both Christmas day? 🤔 I hope so, because after the bioeffect serum, it does seem to go downhill to Christmas 🤣I don't know why some exciting products aren't put in for the finale. A lipstick isn't exciting especially when you've already opened 2 lip products.

I like the colour, hard to tell if it will like me until tried. I've have a couple of YSL candy lippies in similar pale shades but they have that high shine aspect. It looks deeper and warmer on the arm swatch (shade 20) so I'm slightly confused.

@OvaHere the CT one is darker, but one you probably already have it. And let's be honest, the Sisley one is the one we want to suit us 🤩🤣 It might be a bit too pink for me, I think I tend to lean towards dusty rose pinks and mauves.

Those lipsticks colours won’t suit me, also tried both the lip products in the Liberty calendar which were quite right either. I’m holding out for SNK now. It’s hard to get right for everyone, I was hopeful about Lisa Elridge and Violette.

That tends to be what I go for. My most perfect lipstick (that I own) is the dusky pink from the Chanel Rouge Noir collection - 357 Irreverente.

This video seems to show the Sisley lipstick as slightly darker than on the photo of the model.
