Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

There's a number of others with waitlists open and it's been announced that the 3 Harrods calendars are coming soon.

I got an odd notification from the Harrods app today, notifying me of nothing. Just wondering if they’re testing it for next week maybe?? (Hopefully)

I’d very very happy with some VB in the advents. Keen to try her new blush stylus or the water blush in flushed. Big fan of the foundation drops and eye pencils too. Only disappointment so far was the posh lip balm. I got one in a gift set and the texture was like pritt stick. Perhaps I was unlucky.

Yeah, I’ve also run out of space for beauty stuff, and really need to get stuff used up before it goes out of date. I’ve been avoiding all the beauty threads until now, so haven’t really thought about buying anything (otherwise I would no doubt have caved at the first sight of a GWP!).

I can't imagine VB participating in the bac's, her beauty brand is so big now. But if she did, I think it would be the eyeliner or a mini mascara, but would love the new blush stylus.

I haven’t used mine, but I thought that it looked suspiciously flimsy. My hair is long and thick and there’s not a chance that would hold it up. I’d probably need at least 4!

I'd like a blush stylus, the pale pink shade looks lovely. I refuse to pay that much for 1g of product though. I may try and get one when there's a BF discount.

I’m getting impatient waiting for more reveals now. I can’t remember when Harrods started giving spoilers of the beauty and fragrance advents last year. Thinking it must have been late July as they went on sale very early August 🤔

Just searched WA messages with my perfume loving friend. We got a sneak peek of the FAC on 1st August and it went on sale 4th.

I think it's possible there was a silhouette reveal before that ( I can't quite remember) but 1st Aug was when they revealed around 8 of them - the rest I think unknown until it went on sale.

I remember the instagram clip of the two ladies opening a few boxes on both the beauty and fragrance calendars before the reveal. I think they only opened the Rude Oud and the Brompton Immortals.
Now Liberty has been revealed I am ready for more! 😁

@pinkchampagne1 me too. I remember this long lull last year between Liberty and the next one. I'm normally quite a patient person but this really tries it. 😂

Fortnums are usually one of the earliest for spoilers after Liberty. A couple of years ago it was the twenty something of July iirc. I’m also super impatient to see what’s coming. I need another reveal.

thanks @JoRaRaRa i think you might be onto something! Seems to be a lot of oud going on though. How do people feel about oud these days?

Got to say, I wasn’t a massive fan of Harrods fragrance last year. Didn’t like Rude Oud, Ex Nihilo, or Parfums de Marley at all. All ended up going on eBay!

I had rituals a couple of years ago. It was beautiful so I loved having it out and looking at it every day 😆. It was good but did get a little bit repetitive. I used everything in it up apart from one candle which smelt like melting plastic when lit.

I think I said it last year but I find all the FAC chat fascinating. They are not on my radar at all because I like so few perfumes on myself (so often I’ve bought one I liked as a tester or on someone else and then it’s made me feel sick or given me a headache when it actually comes to wearing it properly) so I really enjoy hearing you all discuss them.

I didn’t like the Rude Oud either and sold it on Vinted. Shame as the bottle was beautiful.

@mooshkymoo I think it will be oud heavy. I am hoping if fdb is in the calendar then it's not rude cherry, but part of me thinks it will be. I'd much prefer sirene. I do like oud fragrances and don't mind some being in it, but I'd like a few more feminine leaning fragrances this year.

@MidnightMeltdown did you keep the others? The only one I didn't like was the nishane, it smelt like a dirty cat litter tray to me 🤣 it quickly sold on vinted though. I love all those 3 you mention, so it ended up being a good buy for me.

@pinkchampagne1 did you buy the scent tote? If so, what do you think to the rude oud elixir?

I didn’t buy the scent tote in the end because the full size was the Rude Oud exilir and I didn’t like the original. How did you find it?

I am hoping the calendar isn’t too oud heavy or masculine this year. I did like most of the fragrances in last year’s but did give a couple to DH.

That's why I hmmm'd and arrrr'd over it to begin with so I missed the first drop. I like rude oud, but I don't use it enough to have 2 bottles of something similar. I tried to compare them at the hbeauty event but rude oud is so strong that it just took over. My husband thought the elixir seemed more feminine, he said rude oud was very manly, I then broke it to him that I've got it already and have worn it 3 times when we've gone out together 🤣 But I've not actually sprayed the elixir on me yet. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it, I feel like it's the star of the bag and should keep it to get the real value 😕

@pinkchampagne1 I'm also a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to selling expensive things. I always feel that someone is going to scam me.

I think I sold my Rude Oud for £60 I think. I am also nervous about selling expensive things. gave the Nishane to DH and he has it in his travel bag.
