Hello everyone, well it's officially summer.

This is about feeling better about yourself and looking and feeling better etc. But mainly we chat and laugh quite a lot, which has all got to help towards happiness etc.

The rules (anyone can join):

  • Sunscreen at all times - REALLY mean this now summer is here.
  • No or little booze. Wine or Champagne or whatever at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Some people are doing India and Neris's Idiot Proof Diet (Atkins, more or less), others are doing Slimy World, others are just being as healthy as possible.

Welcome everyone, have a good week.

Batters, glad you've spoken to DD. You must take comfort from the fact that she was honest with you when you chatted, even if she wasn't at the time.

Bloody hell Saggars! Poor lamb.

Hello all,

Right! Apologies for extended absence; this is down to trip to Somerset (bliss) and DS going sack of hammers since we?ve been back ? generally yelling his tiny little lobster-red head off for all he?s worth. So loud is he, in fact, that when I called my mother and she heard him in the background she insisted that I take him to the doctor forthwith [gasp]. So, at end of my tether, I did ? doctor?s verdict: the baby?s fine but you?ve lost too much weight; it?s possible that he?s just hungry, have you considered topping up with formula? So, , that?s what I?m doing ? and I must admit he seems less upset as a result (hence me finally crawling back on to MN). Bit of a bugger though; I?m kind of upset about it all, which has come as a bit of a surprise to me (thought I was more tough as old boots pragmatic than that .

Anyway, have just spent about half an hour catching up on thread, which as far as I can tell consists of rampaging bulls, chicken houses, Mulberry bags, children?s birthdays and logical positivism

Anniemac ? so sorry to hear your news. Hope the wheatgerm does its thing.

Pru, congrats on the norks! What a relief.

Batters, glad you managed to talk to DD ? sounds like she knows where she went wrong. Hope all calm now.

Saggar ? god, your poor DS. Bloody hell. Hope he and you are ok.

Duchess, with you on the fatigue. DS still feed once or twice through the night, but is now coupling this with a charming new trick of staying awake at any time from about half four onwards, if he rouses. Have hit a bit of a wall with it this week [yawn]. Can?t believe Archie?s a month old already! Kit hit the three-month mark yesterday (just as I hit the wall, in fact ).

Bootcamping, not too bad. Had a splendid new haircut yesterday, but, horrifyingly, it?s my last with my lovely hairdresser, who is upping sticks to Canada of all places to live with holiday romance boyfriend, whom she met in February [gasp]. Am actually quite thrilled for her but naturally devastated for myself . We both shed a tear on parting.

Food not bad: bbq yesterday, but had lots of meat and salad, and a minimum of wine.

Bodybrushing, moisturiser, sun screen and so forth all good. My goal: to sort out the grim skin on my heels. Bleeeee.

Right, must go and do chores while DS naps.
