We are part of a pilot MN are doing on long running threads. They messaged me a while back to ask if we wanted to be included and I didn't see why not.

When you click into the link you can join the group, which I believe is open to people who post on the threads. It's a space to collate all the threads in one place and I think if you join you will also always be notified of a new thread starting. Possibly they will roll out other features down the line?

Speaking of April @aprillady usually does the AC threads! I am definitely not doing it. They were so busy last year!

They’re a whole month and more earlier than they were last year! If this carries on they’ll be announcing in March next year, Feb the year after and eventually they’ll need a TARDIS.

I feel like PLouise are outliers though. They release it this early because they do a monthly payment plan on it. I think the other early announcements will still be around late June/July.

I’m really not sure I’m PLouise’s target audience. I’ve just had a quick look and first impressions were they are aimed at tweens. It actually reminds me of a skincare/makeup version of Claire’s. But I have never tried any of their products. Once you take away the pink and novelty are their products any good for more maturing skin?

Hi, does anyone know which was the super-expensive advent calendar last year that was made to order, (as in you had to order it in about April, and they had a waiting list and then made that many)? It wasn’t TreatBox because the one I am thinking of had a lot of pottery items.

Any thoughts?

@Beautyfox -PLouise were deliberately targeting small children with their products in a way that I found really shocking. Kids as young as 7 or 8 were demanding their Bad B***h lip glosses according to posters over on the 2025 Xmas thread!

I think there was then a bit of a backlash on social media and the company claimed to be targeting an older demographic moving forward. Their 2026 calendar - admittedly incredibly cute - would seem to indicate this is not the case!

The product page on the actual Hourglass website has its own colour match tool! https://www.hourglasscosmetics.co.uk/products/vanish-airbrush-concealer It matched Lisa Eldridge and Nars products I had easily, but couldn’t find the Chantecaille Le Camouflage Stylo I had. I could be anything from Khaki (Medium - Warm Peach), which is in the Medium CB edit, or Sienna (Medium - Cool Rosy), Dune (Medium - warm golden), Flax (Medium - warm olive) which are in the Medium/Deep edit. I’m not willing to risk it and will try to get to an Hourglass counter before I buy. There’s also a new shade called Suede (Medium - Neutral) which I think would be perfect but it’s not an option in the CB edits, in which case I won’t buy it. Hopefully the edit won’t sell out.

The edit is perfect for someone like me who loves Hourglass, doesn’t have a stash and is still using the Tiger palette everyday from Christmas 2022 …

OMG I love these shades! I’d have all bar the bottom 3 on the right. I do not need any more though, I’ve still got unopened glosses and have recently been making the most of my YSL nude Lavalliere loveshine.
I do think it would be rude to not buy at least one though 😉

I just went to have a closer look at those Dior lipsticks. They are so OTT glossy on the models lips I think it’s put me off now.
