Sloppy French oversized cardigan?

I'm going to be spending the summer in France.
I have a good capsule wardrobe, but want to add one item - a big, oversized, sloppy French style cardigan. Maybe in tan? I'll wear it over jeans, a cropped tshirt, and either Sambas or Espadrilles, with big sunglasses.
Has anyone seen anything that fits the bill?

Pay no attention OP. I'm a Brit living in Normandy, have been happily wearing Breton tees for years, and I haven't been pitchforked yet.
I recently bought a fabulous hand knitted oversized cardi in a local brocante for a whopping €5 so I reckon you should wait til you get here and buy an authentic French cardi 😀

I'm French and it's the first time I hear about a French cardigan.

I've caused quite the stir it seems.

Good shout - I bought an M&S mens merino jumper and it was not expensive and is subtly chic.

Some of this are fab but I always find I need to be careful re pilling..

I love Sézane but find most of their knitwear too short and boxy for a tall, well boobed person. Their shirts are lovely.

I'm French too and I've never heard of it before either. It's probably the idea of chic French women as seen in films. I look nothing like that!

I have the sezane Basil cardigan in beige and I LOVE it. It’s so nice to wear. If it’s a bit out of budget there are some on Vinted too (though often not much cheaper on there)

moi non plus! French letters, French kisses, French cricket, French leave, French skipping, I could go on , but never French cardigans! Are French cardigans something........rude in some way that no one's told me about!😂

The Oliver Bonas link has got me back onto Esska shoes! I'm desperately trying not to buy a pair and had forgotten all about them! That's a whole other thread though 😅

Great price point, it has a little bit of wool in it still, I love the tortoise shell buttons, and my Addidas Sambas - which I wear every day - have red stripes on them, so it will work well with them.

I would look for a men‘s cardigan, cotton, navy or camel. If wearing over a dress it would work well if you can belt it.
