Concealing the camel toe 🐫

VernitaGreen · 14/02/2026 08:09

Only recently bought leggings for the first time for exercise. Any recommendations for hiding the camel toe?

Online searching brings up underwear products that claim to work but all seem a bit dodgy from brands I've not heard of and are either £2 from China or £35 for a single pair of pants.

Has anyone used either the silicone concealers or pants designed for this that work? Or something else, e.g. panty liners.

I think it depends a lot on brand. I have an issue with it in Sweaty Betty leggings, no problem with Lululemon, even the ones with the seam down the front.

BreakingBroken · 14/02/2026 17:23

It’s fit and fabric. Lulu Align
standard full seamless briefs (Costco Jones New York).

It appears so based on responses. Also that I'll have to do some significant trying on next time. 🤦‍♀️🫣

Long top

FrangipaniBlue · 14/02/2026 17:29

For your vpl issue buy seamless underwear - I get all mine from primark, mixture of thongs and shorts style (the latter I use for running)

DuchessofStaffordshire · 14/02/2026 17:35

I tend to wear leggings with loose shorts over the top whilst running at this time of year. I find thicker more supportive leggings to be less revealing in general plus seamless ones. Don't go for thinner ones especially if you intend on squatting etc. you won't make it through a while workout with a hoodie on unless you are walking. I'd be a sweaty mess! I do tend to wear longer, looser tops in a moisture wicking fabric in the gym

Overtheatlantic · 14/02/2026 17:46

Most women: Whoops, I’m flashing a bit of camel toe, better wear a longer t-shirt.
OP: Perhaps I should ask on MN all the different ways to cover CT, and spend 8 hours debating the various suggestions.

This is why you have pinged as a pervy man to some of us.

HeidiLite · 14/02/2026 17:50

You have to wear quite a long top to conceal that area, below your bum. I would find it very uncomfortable to exercise in such long garments, so no, that's not always the solution.

BareNecessitiesofLife · 14/02/2026 18:04

Maybe try period pants underneath as they have a panel that might disguise?

NutButterOnToast · 14/02/2026 11:55

I get camel toe but I don't give a shit if I'm honest. All women have flaps for goodness sake, it's our anatomy.

Why should I hide it because some immature idiots don't like seeing the shape of a woman's body? If they don't like it, then the solution is don't look!

Oh I think/know there's plenty of people who really, really love seeing camel toes.

Joking aside, I honestly don't understand the trend, makes me cringe!

Ihateboris · 14/02/2026 18:30

I wear panty liners. They work really well.

DottyLottieLou · 14/02/2026 18:53

Longer t shirt. No one needs to see your bum.

How do people wear full briefs without getting VPL?

I’m in the gym to work very hard, jump high, run fast and lift very heavy weights, so I live a healthy long life. VPL is so unimportant I can’t even …

If you’re bothered about VPL, you’re not training hard enough.

HeidiLite · 14/02/2026 19:28

I am a fitness instructor, working out hard really not an issue and yes I do care about VPL and camel toe (my own, others can do what they want). People are different.

Well yeah, I've never been at the bottom of heavy squat, wondering if I'll make it back out of the hole, wondering about my pants.

PloddingAlong21 · 14/02/2026 19:33

Meant in the least non offensive way - are you sure they’re not too small for you?

failing that, are you pulling them up higher waisted than they’re intended to be? Maybe buy high waisted ones so you naturally don’t yank them up as high?

Nutmeg1204 · 14/02/2026 20:06

Compression leggings and the right underwear make a big difference.

Fabletics powerhold leggings are amazing for everyday and for gym or running and smooth everything over so well! they are the only leggings I’ve found that hide everything 100%

Reduxrabbit · 14/02/2026 21:21

In solidarity, I’m saddled with camel toe too because of how I’m built, pain in the arse ( or in my case, fanny) .

Shamalama56 · 14/02/2026 23:13

Leggings aren't compulsory.
If you dont want to bare your legs you also dont have to wear stuff that clings to your arse and labia.
You can wear trackies.

Exactly! I'm glad I wasn't the only one!

borntooobewild · 15/02/2026 00:11

Just try and not be so self conscious. I have never heard of anyone worrying about CTs apart from people on MN .

All of those ideas sound like brilliant ways to get a yeast infection.

Try a size up in leggings.

PensionedCruiser · 15/02/2026 01:58

I started wearing leggings about 2 years ago and do not have that problem at all. I buy from Llama Leisure (they are on FB). They are made from good quality material and are slightly thicker than most I have seen, so no awkward see through around the derriere either. The designs are great too.

Honestly- can you accept that some of us have fleshy bits and some don't?

Good thinking!
I have a totally flat arse but don't particularly care about that. Just care about VPL, cellulite and camel toe being seen.

Trust me, no one will care what you look like. Why do you think people are interested in looking at your camel toe? They really aren't.
