Concealing the camel toe 🐫

VernitaGreen · 14/02/2026 08:09

Only recently bought leggings for the first time for exercise. Any recommendations for hiding the camel toe?

Online searching brings up underwear products that claim to work but all seem a bit dodgy from brands I've not heard of and are either £2 from China or £35 for a single pair of pants.

Has anyone used either the silicone concealers or pants designed for this that work? Or something else, e.g. panty liners.

Would have to look up thong versions as I find full briefs uncomfortable.

That's your issue, right there, I'm afraid. Get used to full briefs.

JillMW · 14/02/2026 14:30

Are they designed for exercise ie d as ports type such as yoga or running pants or ordinary leggings? If the latter front or back bottoms don’t look good and need to be hidden by a long t shirt. If they are sports ones then they really are too tight, too short in the body, of a cheap brand. Try sweaty Betty as they do different raises. If that does not work ask the assistants, you may be more comfy in a tracksuit style in legging fabric eg the Gary. If your camel toe is showing it will cause discomfort exercising. Anything in your knickers will trap sweat.

I wear Women's Best or Gymshark - seamless, with a gusset at the crotch, and high waisted so the seat length is OK. . Squat proof fabric - thick & compressive, and I wear full briefs underneath. Avoid anything with a crotch seam, but you'll need to be prepared to pay for quality fabric & fit.

Appreciate the comments so far and I'll investigate panty liners but I was hoping for recommendations from personal experience. Is this not a problem for anyone else??

This is not a problem for me, no.

Branleuse · 14/02/2026 14:41

Either a panty liner, or I have period thongs from M&S for under gym leggings, as it disguises camel toe and also bit of extra protection from squats or jumps.

17CherryTreeLane · 14/02/2026 14:56

I wear very thin liners made for gym leggings. They’re called skimpies.

Haribosweets · 14/02/2026 14:57

In all my 46 years - I never had an issue with leggings in that area! I do wear full briefs and don't shave it all off but its not bushy either 🤣 I also wear panty liners daily. I wear short tops and not noticed it!

Foggytree · 14/02/2026 15:01

Maybe wear leggings with very lightweight excersise shorts over the top ?

Because I want to know whether they work...?

Is it not because you're a man and you want to discuss women's intimate issues with an accepting group of women? To be part of the club? Thing is, women don't talk about camel toes in great depth because we'd just wear something different.

Cheaper than Niteflirt though I suppose....

Harrietsaunt · 14/02/2026 16:22

I think the suggestions made sound very reasonable. I agree with you OP that it’s definitely not a look you want to cultivate.

Lots of options provided. I would probably go with longer tops, or wearing joggers and avoiding the problem altogether.

OriginalSkang · 14/02/2026 13:35

I'd have to disagree that its not unusual to never wear shorts to the gym! 😆

🤷‍♀️
I go to the pilates studio within a gym and the other women there all wear leggings rather than shorts.

Pleased that Ireallywantadoughnut36 and I have been able to expand your limited experience to date.

How do people wear full briefs without getting VPL?

M&S Goodmove ones. I didn't want to initially fork out 80+ quid on Sweaty Betty or Lululemon until I knew I'd stick with my exercise.

I'll definitely spend more time trying on different types and brands next time to ensure they have everything I need.

I wear big knickers day to day - my jeans/trousers aren’t tight so no VPL. Also I don’t really care - woman wears pants, shock! I agree re under gym leggings though, I wear the M&S high waisted flexi-fit thong knickers for reformer Pilates. I’m a 12 in trousers and bought those in a 14 (because they looked TINY in the shop) so that maybe helps a bit?

No.

It's not been my primary topic of conversation in my life to date either.

I have no idea what Niteflirt is.

I wear Olora ones, also recommended earlier on this thread. And yes indeed no front seam leggings.

I have been to the gym and various classes at least five times a week for the last four years. Women of all shapes and sizes (and I'm not small despite all the exercise!) wear shorts to exercise. Women with hairy legs, cellulite etc including (including me).

Happy to expand your mind to let you know that there are other options than leggings that are too small and therefore showing your fanny

TofuTuesday · 14/02/2026 17:03

Oh I do have a solution! Period pants. Accidentally discovered that they disguise camel toe for me.

But I haven't suggested that it's strange for others to wear shorts. I've said it's not unusual for people to not wear shorts.

You seemed genuinely surprised by this. Hence my comment on me and the other pp showing you we exist.

And I disagree. I do think its unusual for a grown adult to not want to wear shorts for a million pounds, but will happily wear leggings that are far less flattering. And you admit yourself they don't look good on you (the camel toe)

OriginalSkang · 14/02/2026 17:08

Its really quite odd

Did you take my comment about a million quid as being literal rather than simply hyperbole?

I tell you what, you pay me a million to wear some shorts. I'll then conform to your expectations of a grown adult and I'll have some extra cash. Everyone is a winner.
