Concealing the camel toe 🐫

VernitaGreen · 14/02/2026 08:09

Only recently bought leggings for the first time for exercise. Any recommendations for hiding the camel toe?

Online searching brings up underwear products that claim to work but all seem a bit dodgy from brands I've not heard of and are either £2 from China or £35 for a single pair of pants.

Has anyone used either the silicone concealers or pants designed for this that work? Or something else, e.g. panty liners.

Get the ones without a central seam

Why do you want to hear personal stories about other women's experiences with camel toe, OP? Hmm

Are sensible recommendations to deal with the issue not enough?

Because I want to know whether they work...?

It may be the quality and design of the leggings. Try looking on the Reasn website, their leggings are anti camel toe

Urgggh seeing camel toe is gross and I just dont get why you would even bother having to faff around like this just to exercise. Do you think men waste headspace figuring out what underwear to wear to the gym? Just wear trackies if your anatomy doesnt work well with leggings!

I suggest you grow the fuck up

It's just a little odd that the suggestions above your comment (some of which seemed to be from personal experience) weren't good enough and you reiterated wanting recommendations from personal experience, asking if anyone else had a problem with it. It just seemed a little suspicious - apologies if that's not the case. Although, what works for others might not work for you anyway.

Either way, shorts are a surefire fix!

MangoPancake · 14/02/2026 09:22

OP I have this issue. My anatomy (slightly wider pelvis and slim legs) mean I have a 'thigh gap' and leggings make it worse.

lulu lemon or sweaty betty have better seams which help. I have a 'hollywood' as I got my bush laser ex off years ago. I can't say there was a difference between having hair and not, but a slim panty liner will also do the trick too. But avoid leggings with that bloody middle seam that has no business being between my flaps!

PrincessofWells · 14/02/2026 09:34

I know exactly what you mean about anatomy, I have the same issue. I wear riding tights to the gym as they are a much better design for me. The only difference between these and ordinary leggings is there is no inside leg seam and they have a slightly sticky bottom. Decathlon do good ones for around £30. (Riding as in horses).

TalulahJP · 14/02/2026 09:41

i wouldn’t be keen to try anything that traps sweat inside your underwear in case it leads to thrush. but maybe for an hour three times a week it’d be ok if you got showered straight afterwards and then wore cotton? i imagine anyone’s experience with that would be helpful to know if it led to medical probs. i’d be too scared as once i get something it drags on. i just wear baggy clothes. im not there to look good so i dont care but maybe if i were younger and thinner i’d be asking the same questions.

FrangipaniBlue · 14/02/2026 09:41

Better quality/thicker material leggings and ones where the centre seam doesn’t go all the way down - I wear Nike and Under Armour, the centre seam splits into 2 like an inverted V just above the crotch.

Gettingbysomehow · 14/02/2026 10:11

I never have cameltoe because I cant stand wearing anything tight. I like loose trousers. Firm pants and loose trousers or Id be wriggling all day 😂

eurochick · 14/02/2026 10:11

Try a different brand of leggings. Like a pp, I favour Under Armour. Although I recently bought two pairs and for the first time one gave me camel toe. The fabric was flimsier than the other UA I have. But they are generally good.

Newthreadnewme11 · 14/02/2026 08:49

I always wear shorts over my exercise leggings but thats to cover my less than pert buttocks!

Good thinking!
I have a totally flat arse but don't particularly care about that. Just care about VPL, cellulite and camel toe being seen.

Oh, you thought I was some sort of pervert! Well, no. And I didn't ask for personal stories, just recommendations from people in the same boat. Don't worry, I'm not seeking pictures or anything.

Noted on the shorts idea.

Thanks all. I will buy some period pants and liners anyway as they are probably useful products regardless and then just wear an oversized sweatshirt when heading to the gym.

Next time I buy a pair, I'll look into the brands suggested and spend more time trying on styles (ie without the midseam) so I can see which ones exacerbate the issue.

My genuine apologies then! Clearly my spidey senses are in overdrive 🫣 I hope you find a solution that works for you! But I do swear by wearing light, loose shorts (which I often tend to wear without leggings at all - albeit longer shorts than the ones I linked).

BlackCat14 · 14/02/2026 10:41

Depends what you’re wearing on top. If it’s a gym bra/crop top I can’t help you. Otherwise just wear a long camisole under your t shirt/ jumper. That’s what I do and it works well for me.

spicycats · 14/02/2026 10:44

I recommend these

Comfy to wear, no knicker line under tight leggings.

I have the exact same body type! It annoys me when people say well, it's not a problem for me! Like, fine- good for you, but it is for me, I am not trying to bloody make it happen, its annoying and I wish it wasnt always visible but it is.

AmusedShark · 14/02/2026 10:48

I thought it was trendy now?

I see lots of young women out and about shopping in exercise clothes where you can see the entire shape of their arse and vulva.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/02/2026 10:48

I do reformer and it’s legs-a-kimbo a lot of the time - I have never even glanced at another woman’s crotch during class and can’t imagine anyone is looking at mine? I wear Nike leggings and think they’re okay, but do tend to wear a big sweatshirt over them to go which I take off just before starting.

Really? LOL - ive seen those leggings where the bum is all bunched up to emphasise your butt cheeks but not camel toe!

Waitingfordoggo · 14/02/2026 10:54

None of my leggings have a seam up the middle which I think really helps. Also, I have a gigantic full bush which definitely helps!

I see both frequently! I thought that's how the young 'uns are dressing now?

landlordhell · 14/02/2026 10:56

Pubic hair defo helps and are you wearing pants underneath? I wear a thong to avoid vpl. You could wear little sports shorts over the top or instead of leggings?

It’s weird isn’t it ? Camel toe is a no but a hungry arse is all the rage!!😂
