No clue about fashion. Is this ok for my daughters wedding? Im early 60s

When we got married my mum dressed like herself and that's what mattered, I'd be worried if she'd turned up in Jacques vert and a massive hat and would have staged an intervention. She was smart and looked fantastic but not conventional.

Now I'm 58 and I love that dress. Sod what other people think. If it was me I'd be wearing nice flats (dodgy knee) in silver or bright pink etc. But you choose what you feel

I do want heels - happy to have a pointed toe or almond toe. Either lilac/purple or the green in the dress I think

Depends on the type of wedding your daughter wants - it’s a lovely dress but you are MOB and imo need to get something really, really special - someone else could easily be wearing the same dress!!
My daughter wanted me to ‘dress up’ and have a great hat - so I did and she came shopping with me, we had a fab time shopping and at wedding.
Do you want to look like any another guest or MOB? Discuss with daughter.

Yes! Unless hats really suit you, then avoid. They really don't suit glasses either, too much going on. And fascinators look ridiculous on most people.

I really like the dress. I think navy shoes and a different coloured bag would be very nice together. I'd probably get a navy bag because I'm boring like that.

That dress is beautiful but those shoes don't go with it at all.
OP the Hobbs dress is perfect for a MOB look if it's your style and navy shoes would be great.

Gorgeous dress, and perfect for a wedding

I ordered this for my daughters wedding and had to send it back. It looked like a nightie on me and did not work at all. I 5ft 8 and it was very long. It has some weird buttons down the front

Absolutely gorgeous - classic, beautiful fabric. So much classier than those dreadful mother of the bride outfits sold in occasion wear shops.

I’d opt for a nude or metallic shoe, then let the weather and hair preference decide your hat. If it’s a warm, sunny day, you may be glad of something with a brim.

It’s perfect! And I hope you feel a million dollars wearing it! Pick out any of the colours in it for shoes/bag/hat. It’s really elegant!

Beautiful dress, with either a pale green similar to that in the dress and bag to match. Old school perhaps, but I like the shoes & bag to match.

I’m going to suggest caution. Look how long that dress is on the model, are you of a similar height and build?

I think if you have even a hint of apple to your shape, then it has severe potential for dumpiness. Please be super careful as to how it fits you personally.

Having said that I do think it is a lovely dress and you be inclined to pick out the pale pink for a hat/jacket/shoes.

Op I really hope that you like it. The material is a real disappointment. Yes it is silk but feels more like polyster the flower pattern is printed on to the fabric and looks very cheap in real life.

I was so disappointed in it as I had hoped my search was over!
