I think it's lovely and I think navy shoes and bag in a colour from the floral on the dress would be really nice.

It’s absolutely stunning! Much better than what my mother wore. (Though this dress wouldn’t suit her, but her dress was far too short!)

That's exactly what I would do. Choose one of the paler colours and find the exact shade to wear with it. It's a lovely dress but I wouldn't put dark accessories with a dark dress for a wedding. It should look joyful.

You could put other colours with it - but I would take it to a hat or bag shop and try the hats and bags with the dress and your colouring. That way you will see which colours suit you best and go with the dress
