I like this product, it will go in my suitcase.

I tried yesterday’s trinny lip and cheek thing as an eyeshadow yesterday, it looked really nice!

@countdowntonap oh yes! I don’t think I used mine, I’m a Dior blush addict.

@ReprogramNeeded my grandchildren have a beautiful little Liberty village full of dinosaurs and cars! Out of all of their toys here the advent calendars are the most played with 😂

I am off on hols tomorrow, so I opened the rest today. Other than tomorrows which made me giddy, I’m underwhelmed with the rest. Be interesting to see how the rest of you find it.

The 21st box made you giddy and you are underwhelmed with the rest? Worrying!

redluckycat · 21/12/2025 08:29

I used the Trinny product yesterday - I love it! I can see myself getting something else from the range…

I just looked again at the full contents for Space NK as people seem very happy with it, but no…it’s still not for me.

AnnieFrancais · 21/12/2025 08:33

Same as everyone, I hadn't seen the giddy comment but when I did, just now, I thought maybe I had the wrong product!
However they manage to make the pricing look valuable it is the least luxury AC they have ever produced (tbh Ive obnly had the last 4) and perfumes are not beauty products for me, one or two is a great addition but -
Usually this AC is such a great start to the day now I sort of feel resistant to looking because I don't want to feel let down but it did that again today!

Used my PK today, put on damp hair while I marzipaned the cake, made bread and mince pies and did the boring washing: Had a shower and twisted it up while I did a workout: result: soft bouncy waves: I use it at least once a week, more often in summer because I just put it on and put in a messy bun while Im doing anything and the warmth helps: Also protects it a bit in the sun and whilst swimming (I use their Swimcap product too) stops it getting too sundamaged

Iwishihadarivericouldskateawayon · 21/12/2025 08:40

I knew the giddy comment was sarcastic. I've not enjoyed this calendar, it just feels full of samples, almost like a gift with purchase, or a few old beauty drop boxes thrown together. I have actually stopped opening it. Nothing about the contents so far has been luxury. I do think perhaps I was spoiled with the 2023 vogue, nothing has compared to that, and I really struggled with finding a calendar this year. Or perhaps i've been stressed with other things and not able to appreciate it. Whatever the reason this Liberty calendar is most definitely the worst calendar I've had in the 6+ years I've been purchasing bac

AnnieFrancais · 21/12/2025 08:48

@Iwishihadarivericouldskateawayon EXACTLY! just been having that conversation with my husband, Ive had very similar items (multipe at the same time) when shopping in Sephora

BIossomtoes · 21/12/2025 08:50

I agree @Iwishihadarivericouldskateawayon. I wonder if being a BD member means I’m more critical - getting yet another product that’s previously turned up in BD boxes annoys me. I’m absolutely fed up with this brand, Bamford and Philip Kingsley. Where’s the equivalent of the £50 Byredo lipstick?

ohthejoysoftoddler · 21/12/2025 08:51

A second leave in conditioner feels crazy.
I miss the days of Ren, Dr Sebagh and Votary full sizes!
Be interested to see the total value list at the end - well someone's have looked ahead and done it? Surely there's a bit of an email for false advertising coming liberty's way!
I did like the trinny yesterday. But, at that price point, I don't really consider it a luxury makeup item.
Are we done with perfume at least?!

PuzzlingRecluse · 21/12/2025 08:52

I’m going to be in the minority here - I saved up to treat myself to this calendar, I’ve never had one before. These are brands I wouldn’t normally buy for myself, I’m a single mum and prioritise DS. I’m really enjoying the calendar & trying things I wouldn’t usually. I’ve recently joined BD so will be using that credit to save for next years.

Im sorry that so many posters are having a poor experience but to me it’s a real treat.

ohthejoysoftoddler · 21/12/2025 08:54

Has anyone kept a track of how many full size products we've had?

Trinny, the emma serum, night balm, must be others?

PuzzlingRecluse · 21/12/2025 08:54

Seahorses12 · 20/12/2025 21:03

Re value of the Liberty BAC, I remember someone mentioned an article in the Telegraph that compared all the claimed values and calculated actual values. It's here if anyone's interested.
True value of Beauty Advents compared

This is really helpful to see the true value, which liberty would have calculated at point of planning/release. I’m pleased with it, especially compared to price paid.

ohthejoysoftoddler · 21/12/2025 08:55

@PuzzlingRecluse that's so nice you've been able to treat yourself - it is a really lovely thing to open each day! I've still enjoyed it.
I think on this thread there are a few of us that have had this for years, and it's just not as good as previous years. It's still a lovely treat to yourself though!

Sunshineo · 21/12/2025 08:55

@BIossomtoes I cancelled the BD earlier this year as I was becoming overwhelmed with products (I still have old products so it’s wasted) and felt that it ruins the calendar for me if the same products from the BD turn up.
I miss having the credit obviously (a shock having to pay for my Grenado perfume without the credit!) and initially had a bit of fomo but I’m enjoying the calendar so pleased with my decision.

Iwishihadarivericouldskateawayon · 21/12/2025 08:55

I am shocked you both agree, I was fully prepared to be banned from the thread. I don't want to bring the thread down, and I'm pleased many are enjoying the calendar

This is probably why I’m really happy with it - I’ve never had a beauty box, so it’s all new to me (apart from Dermalogica and PK).

Looking at Space NK that I mentioned above, that seems to have a lot of small sizes too (apart from a shower oil, moisturiser, a The Ordinary product - definitely not luxury - and a setting spray which is not something I’d ever use).

ohthejoysoftoddler · 21/12/2025 08:58

I thought the BD was a bit of a bust really, I cancelled after six months or so. Though I did hear it improved. Too many tiny samples.

BIossomtoes · 21/12/2025 08:59

I don’t want to bring down anyone who’s enjoying it. You’re right that it’s the comparison with previous years that brings disappointment. I think Liberty’s dropped the ball this year, I really hope they get it in the back of the net next year. I really want to love it as I have previously.

msmillicentcat · 21/12/2025 09:00

Aww I’m disappointed today, although I knew this was lurking in there somewhere I had forgotten and didn’t expect they would have out it in one of the boxes closer to Christmas. I’ve had a few of her products and they are just not for my hair type unfortunately. I think so far this and the Larry King are complete dods for me and I really didn’t like a couple of the perfumes - however, I’m largely happy with the calendar and don’t mind having lots of perfume.
I know there are a couple of things I really wanted in this calendar and we haven’t had them yet so I’m excited for the next few boxes!

PacificState · 21/12/2025 09:01

I’m trying to remain positive because I still think anyone who is opening a £250 advent calendar is, objectively, quite a lucky person. And I have really enjoyed the perfumes and the skincare and the makeup. But holy moly, please let this be the last of the hair stuff.

nearly61 · 21/12/2025 09:02

@PuzzlingRecluse I'm with you on this, different circumstances but similar cash flow I suspect! This is my huge treat to myself each year, saved via the beauty drop, and I really do love most of the items this year. I do think they made a mistake today in popping in a brand that has been tried already in BD (lots of advent buyers save the way I save so have already had this) but mainly the mistake is to not include the matching shampoo with it, in the same drawer. Perhaps they could have used a different product from this brand instead to switch things up.
But I adored the Trinny yesterday, we don't have that brand anywhere remotely near me so I'd never have been able to try it but I love love love it! Lipstick, blusher and I think I'll try it as eyeshadow, thank you @Sunshineo for the idea 😁

Growlybear83 · 21/12/2025 09:09

This is the fourth year I’ve had the Liberty calendar and I’m just as happy with it this year as in the past. I’ve been a BD member for two years now and there’s only been one box in that time that I’ve not been really pleased with. I suppose having my BD credit makes me more likely to buy the calendar but I was disappointed with yet another almost identical box this year so initially decided I would buy another multi brand calendar, but once I studied the contents as the calendars were released, Liberty had far less DODs than any of the others, apart from F&M, which my husband bought me - in particular I chose it because it had less make up and more perfume than any of the others. I replaced items from four of the drawers with things from another calendar so I’ve not been disappointed with anything so far and although there has been some debate about the value of the products, I think it’s great value for money.

Snowplop · 21/12/2025 09:13

I also slathered on the Verdon last night - feet and calves. I slept like a log - normally I'm wakeful when the teens are out late, checking Life 360 to make sure they're home, but I slept straight through.

I've also checked the Space NK contents again, wondering if I made a mistake but no..I'm definitely still pleased with Liberty.

Well now I feel lazy… in stark contrast to your morning so far all I’ve managed to do is light my (non advent calendar candle) and open my 21st drawer whilst nursing a massive hangover 😂

Sorry I meant yesterday!!!
This morning Ive had breakfast and been on here /: now Im going shopping: Hope you feel better soon, hydrate xx
Oh also as you are the brains behind the beauty, is it OK to use the Luna oil at night and the Paulas choice acidy poor cleanser (little bottle from last year I think) on the same day? Thanks!

Housewife2010 · 21/12/2025 09:33

I think this is my 6th or 7th Liberty AC - I last had it 2 years ago. I'm very happy with it. I chose this year's Space NK as my birthday present and this one was a later indulgent afterthought using my Beauty Drop credit.
I do check all contents lists very carefully and preferably watch an unboxing before choosing a calendar so I am never disappointed. I'd never choose a calendar based on previous years. I had two early Cult Beauty AC's and loved them, but have never been tempted since and would have been disappointed if I'd bought their subsequent AC's without checking. The additional perfumes this year were a big draw for me. I definitely recommend checking contents first - they come out so early that I forget most of the contents by December.
