Hi,

Welcome to Part Two, (or Day 18 onwards…)

If you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

Oh I loved the Rose inc one too and went to buy and also was sad to discover it was discontinued.
I’m a bit disappointed in today’s, it’s got very little pigment as far as I can see when I tested it. Smells nice though!

HostessTrolley · 20/12/2025 09:20

I didn't look up the contents of the calendar before buying so have no idea what's still to come. I had my first liberty AC a couple of years ago, loved it, but didn't buy last year and bought this year's from BD funds without looking it up - on a run of night shifts. Pretty shocking if the value is so far off - I think they've probably added the bag in, but even with that the last few days should be pretty fabulous if it's going to get anywhere near the advertised figure 🫤

Ilikeyoursleeves · 20/12/2025 09:29

I just tried today’s Trinny on my lips and cheeks, it’s lovely! Just to say though I’m sure I felt a slight tingle when I put it on my lips, not quite sure but I def feel something. Hope it won’t be the whole lipstick thing again for some but for anyone with allergies you might want to test a little bit out at first!

Does anyone else feel a tingle or do I have sensitive lips??

H3lloMums · 20/12/2025 09:30

hmm the bag, I personally didn't count it either but even if we did it's worth £28...

TragicMuse · 20/12/2025 09:32

I love today’s, it’s one of my big hitters as I am a Trinny fan and love her products.

Thrilled!

redluckycat · 20/12/2025 09:35

I looked up the contents in detail when they were released, as I did for all other BAC, and I still have no idea what’s left to come - seriously! As it was so long ago. I doubt it will add up to that though…

redluckycat · 20/12/2025 09:36

I’ve never tried Trinny products so I am excited to have one to try! I wish I had another though so I could attach them together 😂

H3lloMums · 20/12/2025 09:45

Yes 😆 was very satisfying stacking my two trinnys together!

oh I have an old rose inc one too which I loved - now realising it's probably well past its shelf life...

lips - I know what you mean, I notice drying/tingling with certain lip products over others if lips are really dry/dehydrated and I think I noticed this trinny can do that - similar to the TM lipstick but normally fine over lip balm/other lipsticks.

UntamedShrew · 20/12/2025 10:04

Ooh today’s is lovely. My cheeks look all glowy and less like I’ve been living off party food all week 😊

DarlingCoffee · 20/12/2025 10:04

I love Trinnys makeup and have happily added this to my stack this morning. The little pots last for ages so this will be a great addition and I know I will use it over Christmas. Very happy!

moormum · 20/12/2025 10:18

I like today's too - very similar to Jones Road miracle balm which I use for extra glow over blusher as not highly pigmented or on its own for natural look.
Agree Liberty will face complaints if total value of products doesn't improve. This is a significant purchase for most people and awful that they are disappointed.

AndeanFlamingo · 20/12/2025 10:21

I liked the idea of today's item but the colour is completely wrong for me so this is another one that I've already passed on.

This was the packaging, with a round palette of cream inside.

I definitely didn’t get that in last years advent calendar. I wonder if I missed out on this 🙁

I think it was 2023.

BIossomtoes · 20/12/2025 11:52

I’ve just checked, it was 2023. The same year we got the amazing Byredo lipstick that I loved so much I bought another on eBay.

Megan1971 · 20/12/2025 12:09

I’m going to be honest I’m very underwhelmed this year. I got a reduced Debenhams one too which has turned out to be a bargain and I’ve been more excited by items in that one than the liberty. I think I’m going to cancel the BD and save up myself for the vogue one - more expensive but some of the items in that one were a real treat this year.

keepincool · 20/12/2025 12:11

Four of the treats still to come have a combined retail price of £430, so we may get there in terms of value... 😊

Seagullstopitnow · 20/12/2025 14:06

BIossomtoes · 20/12/2025 09:02

It was this. Utterly brilliant, there’s still a bit left in mine. Discontinued now.

Noooo they discontinued it?!
It's one of my faves!

I’m so sorry. It happens to everything you love. Bastards.

TheFutureIs · 20/12/2025 14:31

Is there a technique to opening the Trinny? Can’t get mine to twist?!

TragicMuse · 20/12/2025 14:36

My lid was on tight, just turn it hard @TheFutureIs

AprilLady · 20/12/2025 14:48

Delurking briefly to comment on the advertised “value” of the calendar. While I didn’t do as comprehensive spreadsheets this year as I have in the past, I did do Liberty and went back to look at my spreadsheet today. My initial calculations (excluding the bag) only got to around £1,070 but if instead of pro-rating travel sizes I value them at the price of the stand alone travel size where available, I get to just under £1,200 - again excluding the bag, and still a little less than the quoted value but at least it is close.

IlovePond · 20/12/2025 15:11

@ReprogramNeeded - I will save the Liberty box to refill as a DIY next year - it’s far too beautiful to throw away and I am unlikely to splash out again like this next year.

Re: Value

I add up ‘values’ by using a combination of MSE’s way of adding up calendar contents - i.e. finding the lowest price that something can be bought for NOW by looking on various sites to see where it’s cheapest, and by doing a Cosmetopeia and discounting all sample sizes in cost calculations.

Places like Liberty don’t ‘lie’ when doing calendar value calculations, but they do count all sample sizes at a pro rata cost of the full size products and always give the highest RRP available. This inflates the ‘actual’ value if you add up the calculations the way I do.

Happy to try today’s product on my cheeks, but it won’t be going anywhere near my lips after the TM debacle.

I used the Verdun cream last night and slept well, so yaay!

I also used the PK on my hair and didn’t detect any difference one way or the other. I will finish it up, but without enthusiasm.

Wish Id thought to use the sleep balm last night as slept badly - probably due to the fact I had a houseful of teenagers tho!

I have another Trinny product which I finally opened a few weeks ago and I love it so am very happy with today’s. Looking forward to a few double doors on the last few days of countdown.
