I am going to be so fabulous this Christmas when I casually take my La Mer lip balm out of my bag!

redluckycat · 22/12/2025 07:57

I am very happy with today’s!

I know I’ll love it because I bought this in my early twenties (along with the moisturiser)!

So that’s £65 added to the total (mine is 770.25 excluding bag, which I think they might be including actually).

Lip balm is an occasional use thing for me nowadays (I found the more I used it the more I needed it) so it will last a long time too!

imp2007 · 22/12/2025 07:58

Absolutely love today's 🥰

AnnieFrancais · 22/12/2025 08:02

Yey!
But how do you open it, two of us have tried twisting and pulling and can't!!!

I hope they haven't included the bag, its not beauty, I wouldn't have bought it, whats the point of it?
LOVE todays!!!

BIossomtoes · 22/12/2025 08:10

Happy today, my lips get very rough in the winter. I hope I don’t like it too much!

Howmanyroses · 22/12/2025 08:12

Silly question about the Lisa Eldridge pencil, does more of it come out of you twist or is this all we get? I can't figure out how to twist it so thought I'd ask here...

Don't we need to use a sharpener like a pencil? Can you open todays?

I don’t think they should, but someone else mentioned it might be, and I think it might have been on the list of contents…

I’m glad you asked!

I have had NARS lip pencils in the past and have not been able to work out how to get more from them - twisting hasn’t worked, sharpening hasn’t worked!

It needs a sharpener

I would include the bag in the total. They sell it for £28 on their site. In recent years Liberty have included a non beauty product e.g bracelet, hair slides, mirror, make up bag etc. Their price is always included. There are usually complaints on here about those products, but this year the bag seems to have been very popular. - Mine is looking very nice as a cushion cover!

Thanks for this, this is useful to know. I’m not too bothered if it’s only £28 of the value.

Mine has been incredibly useful - it’s the perfect size for storing my large embroidery frames and keeping them dust free and protected (and looking good!).

Snapespeare · 22/12/2025 08:26

Delurking, I've enjoyed this year as well and picked up a couple of extras on vinted (lipstain, eye patches and Lewisham moisturizer) it's obviously been fragrance heavy, but that's ok, it's nice to try (& reject!) new smells. I'm missing the inclusion of a le labo miniature, those have been enjoyed and used habitually in previous years. A bit meh yesterday at the PK, but v happy with the le mer - vinted isn't offering a lot of cheapies, they're sat at around £25-£30 on resale.

Almost at the end! Part of me wants 12 beauty advents, so every day has a little boost on waking.

Thank you, I would have never guessed as it doesn't look like a pencil you can sharpen! I am going to have to give a go later on

Twist it anticlockwise - it’s as you’ve tried I expect but it’s very tight. I had to get DH to open mine. It’s lovely once you’re in!

Lotsofpots · 22/12/2025 08:50

The lip balm is obviously one of their big ticket items, and seems perfectly nice. However (and this isn’t a liberty problem, but a la mer problem) I think charging that much for a lip balm where the first ingredient is petroleum is HILARIOUS.

msmillicentcat · 22/12/2025 08:50

I love today’s! I actually opened it when I first got the advent calendar as my Omorovicza lip balm ran out and I do love a luxury lip balm. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and very pleased - long lasting but doesn’t make you addicted to it. My lips feel great actually!
I found something else in today’s drawer which must have been put back in the wrong place by one of my nosey daughters!

HumBumBum · 22/12/2025 08:56

Love today’s, not that I’ve tried it yet. I still have the lipgloss on the go from last year!

Pinkyporky · 22/12/2025 09:00

Same- still using last years! I do like to casually pull an item like this out of my bag though. Not that anyone any attention

AndeanFlamingo · 22/12/2025 09:05

I go through lots of lip balm so I'm happy with today's. I've never found anything better than my beloved little tin of vaseline though so let's see if it's worth the price tag!

Netaporter · 22/12/2025 09:11

Loving today’s. It is tingly though..so a warning to anyone who might be reactive.

nearly61 · 22/12/2025 09:12

I'm really looking forward to trying this one. Years ago I got hooked on Dr Sebagh lip balm and have found it nigh on impossible to improve on so I'm holding out high hopes for lush, plump soft lips!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 22/12/2025 09:21

Just opened today’s today, wow this looks great! My first thought was this is so luxury and my second thought was who on earth pays £65 for a lip balm?!! 🤣

Looking forward to trying it after I stop admiring the box 🥰
