I loved that lipstick so much!

It’s amazing, isn’t it? The little cotton bag, the weight, the curve and the colour - I got Commuter. The second one is still sealed.

jay55 · 21/12/2025 12:43

Ahhhhhh I must have 21 and 22 mixed up, many apologies

I’ve got all these hair products muddled in my head. I love make up but never bother much with my hair so a total newbie. Can someone explain the differences like I’m a 5 year old please? I know what to do with the curry shampoo, but that’s it. 😁

This is what I'm wondering, too. I've got the elasticiser on now. Are the Larry King and the Argan oil an either/or do you think

redluckycat · 21/12/2025 12:45

Ilikeyoursleeves · 21/12/2025 12:14

So I tried the PK Elastisizer this morning and then put some of the serum oil stuff on and my hair feels soooo silky and lovely!! I don’t normally venture beyond shampoo and conditioner (oh I used the curry shampoo too) so even though PK may not be ultra luxury, it’s felt like that for me!

Then used the mirror oil, the serum, moisturiser, eye pencil, mascara, Trinny and the Ex Nihilo!

Although a few products are slightly meh I still feel very fortunate and grateful that I’ve been able to treat myself to a fancy AC, the vast majority of drawers have been great for me. I’m reading a book just now called ‘The Art of Spending Money’ and it’s fascinating, it spoke about how we appreciate things we’ve bought more when there’s more contrast. I don’t buy much beauty stuff at all during the year, don’t get any Beauty Drops etc so maybe I’m enjoying this way more cos this isn’t the norm for me and I’m loving the little treats each day!

Yes same for me - buying beauty products is a rare treat since having kids; I just repurchase my old favourites rather than spending money experimenting with products like I did before having them. I’ve never had a beauty box from any brand, never mind Liberty. So I’m really appreciating it.

I still have my PK on!

That’s interesting. I tried it on my hand in SNK and balked at the price. I may go in foundationless next year and try it on my face.

I went to a VB counter foundation less but with a fake tan because I mostly have make up days when I’ve just tanned. The girl was excellent and I bought the matching concealer too.

Netaporter · 21/12/2025 13:04

AnnieFrancais · 21/12/2025 11:43

Ive only ever used VB pencils, eye shadow (bit glittery for my age now so I just look at it haha): Is the foundation very heavy? Im using a really light one by chanel, Eau de Tient, it doesn't make my mascara smudge which so many do (if not using the tubing one): So the setting spray stops any mascara coming off? What is it? What's CT? Ive never seen mascara in a glass bottle!

CT is Charlotte Tilbury. It is her setting spray I use too. VB foundation is actually combined skincare and make up - it’s made by Augustinius Bader - it feels weightless but has good coverage. I was using luminous silk by Armani (which is excellent) but this is better. I bought the matching concealer and also a contour stick.

Netaporter · 21/12/2025 13:06

AnnieFrancais · 21/12/2025 11:46

@Netaporter Ooooo I found the CT mascara, 9 times more volume! Looks like one I need to try

It is very good.

Hicupping · 21/12/2025 14:13

Netaporter · 21/12/2025 10:34

Setting sprays are a game changer for old birds like me. Stops my mascara sliding down my eye bags 😂

I've tried it twice and really like it, doesn't cause any skin issues. I'm using Vieve complexion balm which is very thick (amazing colour match) but weirdly doesn't hide well so I need extra on cheeks and also mix it with some Niod bronzing liquid to make it more spreadable and this helps, doesn't make it shiny or give me spots. Though I have learned the lesson to not close eyes so tightly when spraying or put on mascara after. I'm also getting on a bit now and starting to have challenges.

I am lazy and just run the PK Elasticizer through dry hair - sometimes I then just stick a bobble in and go for a run or housework, but often just before I then get in the shower.
i have collected quite a few from Vinted and use it weekly. But that does mean it doesn’t really feel like a treat. Today’s conditioner is going on Vinted I’ve had it before in a beauty edit and it doesn’t suit my hair.

I am interested to find out how the last four drawers are going to make the value up to £1200!

countdowntonap · 21/12/2025 15:03

Going to try the eyeliner again shortly, hopefully I can make it more smoky eye and less raccoon this time.

It’s a GREAT spoiler for me, but know some people wouldn’t want to see it.

This is my first BAC and saved via beauty drop. I have really loved the experience. I bought this one after much careful research and unboxing videos. I love perfume and haircare, so very happy. I knew which products I would gift to mum such as the Emma serum, eye liner and Bibbi and also filled up boxes with extra stuff from Liberty BD and GWP, sets for mum so she would be able to share in the experience, it has been a little thrill of excitment for us, especially as she has been ill. The presentation is stunning and as a huge liberty fan for beauty home wear and fabric, the 150th year feels special. Yesterday I used the curry shampoo after the PK, conditioner then argan serum. Hair felt the best in ages.
Particular loves so far
Zepherine, The Sixth, Granado, I dont know what perfume
All the skin are apart from Emma serum due to skin sensitivity with some of the ingredients and fragrance she uses. MZ skin. Love!
All the haircare. Curry shampoo not the culprit of allergy as tried it again.
Trinny, lovely on cheeks.
Verden. Blessed sleep!
And still a few days to go. Its been a great little treat before I trot off to school everyday which is so hard by the end of this long term, although the kids are always fab.
Customer service was wonderful over the mascara and sent a beautifully worded email before the replacement promptly arrived. Liberty remains my breakfast at Tiffany's place.

This is exactly how I feel.

carbonelthecat · 21/12/2025 17:59

@Primrosespaw beautifully said.

I have just had a little sort through my stash and realised I have 6 Elasticizers (in various forms) and haven't actively chosen to buy a single one! Next year's beauty resolution is to get through them all!

I really didn't get on with the Charlotte Mensah shampoo and conditioner last time I got some - it was too much for my fairly lightweight hair. I'm going to try this conditioner sparingly on the very ends of my hair as I do think that will work much better for my hairtype (fine and flyaway, but lots of it!)

clary · 21/12/2025 19:46

I’m sad that people are not enjoying this AC. I like it but I did know there was a lot of fragrance, which I love, and use. Liberty didn’t do a fragrance calendar while Harrods and Space NK did, so that reduced the fragrance in their main calendars.

Space NK has been mentioned – just looked at my list and it has The Ordinary and Inkey List, neither of which is a luxury item in my book, and also a red lip liner (no thanks) and two lip oils – I mean I don't even want one. So it had a number of DoD for me, whereas genuinely, the Liberty had none (there are a couple of high-ticket items to come which are not totally my bag, but I will give them a try).

UntamedShrew · 21/12/2025 22:55

Agreed today’s conditioner was a bit meh given it’s been a freebie for those of us in BD. Well not free anymore (!) but you know what I mean. Am hoping this means we get an extra big treat tomorrow!

And despite having said I’d give my DD the Elasticizer I liked a PP’s suggestion to use it in the sauna, so did that yesterday. My hair is not dry (all of the hair products seem to be for dry hair…) so I thought it would overload it but it’s actually v nice. Has only taken four years of them sending it to me for me to try it!

It was damp weather here today and that would usually lead to fluffy hair but it stayed straight. Will use again - and unpopular opinion but I like the shampoo a lot, don’t get a curry smell from it just black pepper? And it lathers really nicely. But yeah, today’s conditioner I can live without so DD can definitely have that one 😬

UntamedShrew · 21/12/2025 23:07

@Netaporter as a fellow old bird please can I ask for your recommended setting spray? I’ve never used one.

lol. No probs - It’s the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless settling spray. I apply then use the cold setting on my hairdryer to blast it. Charlotte herself was on this morning the other week and recommended adding translucent powder with a sort of stippling brush to set it, but I don’t like powder on my face as I think it ages me.

I loved it. I took mine out earlier today after seeing this and the little bag is of course filthy from being stuffed into handbags but the weight and shape of the case is just divine.

ETA not related to your post @blossomtoes but what is DoD?

IlovePond · 22/12/2025 04:54

@Allisnotlost1 - a DOD is a drawer of disappointment/doom!
