I think it's always attracted a crowd, @HollyhockDays .
Anyway, perhaps their attendance and motivation is for another thread!

I think they’re a certain ‘type’, if you get my drift.

Maireas · 26/12/2025 11:38

Anyway, back to Style.
I've posted the Danish and Norwegian royal families Christmas Day church visits upthread.
Has anyone seen any other royals oit and aboit?

Ah. I thought the lovely smart coat worn by Lena Tindall had been seen before.
A family pass down in the best tradition. Granny will approve.

Well done, @ShamedBySiri ! I'm guessing the older girl was Mia, she had a nice coat on, too.

I think Mia Tindall might have worn that same coat at the St George's chapel part of the late QE funeral. I know only George and Charlotte were at Westminster Abbey, but the three older children of Peter Philips and Zara definitely attended that part of the day. The red flashes are very distinctive.

Meanwhile, in Denmark, the royals attended High Mass.
Another scarlet coat, which I love. Prada.

Wow, Christian looks really different in those photos - I didn't recognise him at first, and for a brief, puzzled second I actually thought it was Joachim! Maybe the combination of a bit of weight loss and the vintage styling made him look suddenly a lot older.

Does Kate look "frumpy"? 🤔
Perhaps, as pp have said, just not styled. She's still a very elegant and attractive woman.

Would that I could slay this lame frumpy and not styled look.

Yes, I thought so. Josephine, too.

Eugenies outfit reminded me of the coat Basil Brush wears

True!
Boom boom!

I liked Catherine’s coat, the gathered waist was unusual. I didn’t like Eugenie’s coat at all. I thought Charlottes outfit was perfect, bespoke Catherine Walker apparently. Camilla looked great.

Who were the couple at the rear? The lady was wearing a full cape.

Choux · 26/12/2025 23:39

Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones. Margaret’s granddaughter.

It’s possibly a bit Call the Midwife but I like it. Especially the green (green fan here)

The Danes also went to church in Christmas Eve. Perhaps the girls and Vincent have borrowed their parents’ clothes as they are similar sizes but Christian stands out as being not as well dressed as his siblings. No coat, mismatched jacket and trousers and the trousers are pooling over his shoes so too long.

I like the colour of Isabella’s coat.

I thought that Eugenie's coat looked a bit like an 'homage to Miss Marple.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 27/12/2025 06:21

Christian looks a giant compared to the rest of them! Don't the Danes also have a NYE gala with tiaras and, in Daisy's case, furs?

NewAgeNewMe · 27/12/2025 06:40

Interesting article @ProfessorIDareSay

i liked Eugenie's coat but I’m a bit whacky at times when it comes to coats, and if in price range definitely something I’d have in my wardrobe. Equally Zara’s coat as safe choice for funerals if not wearing black!

CurlewKate · 27/12/2025 06:46

Loved the Queen’s coat-but a bit puzzled by all the brown-I wonder how they decide the theme. Does the Queen announce her colour and the others dress to make a backdrop? Charlotte’s coat was beautifully cut-but maybe a bit young for her? I got into trouble for saying this before-but I do hope she loves the clothes she wears!

Don’t you mean a “sweet homage to Miss Marple.”?🤣

Maireas · 27/12/2025 10:04

I think, @CurlewKate that tween age is a tricky one for girls in terms of formal clothing, because you don't want to make them "too adult". I remember Louise wearing those kind of coats.

Looking forward to that.
Yes, Christian looks like a big chap, I'm not sure about the mismatch of jacket and trousers, either.
His sister looks nice.

Yes, it is a tricky age. I think if she was mine, I’d put her in a more grown up formal style straighter coat-but still with the velvet collar and the same tights and shoes. So she was leaning slightly towards the grown ups rather than towards the younger children. More Team George than Team Louis….

Chesticles · 27/12/2025 12:12

Belated merry Christmas everyone. Just catching up on all the royal fashion. I liked Kate’s brown checked coat. Not keen on either of the York sisters I’m afraid. Camilla looked nice a cheery.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 27/12/2025 12:23

I think I might've liked Mia Tindall's coat best of all! And even though I didn't particularly care for her ensemble, I thought Beatrice was the only one who brown suited. Sophie, Kate and Eugenie should avoid it.
