I’m not sure I liked Eugenie’s coat but I kind of admire her for not playing it safe. Her forearms must have been freezing, though, as it’s pretty chilly here in Norfolk!

HollyhockDays · 25/12/2025 18:31

Camilla looks the best.

Eugenie / Zara are both busty and look trussed up in their coats. I think a belted coat is hard to wear. Hats are all good.

Kate was a bit meh as were Sophie and Louise. I get they are recycling stuff for Louise but could they not get her a new coat? Charlotte’s coat was lovely just not in that colour.

Sidebeforeself · 25/12/2025 19:33

I’ve been meaning to ask this for ages.. where do you find out about the Wales upcoming engagements? I’ve looked on the Royal Family stuff but it shows Charles Anne etc but never the Wales?

MrsLeonFarrell · 25/12/2025 19:59

I liked Catherine's whole ensemble, but then I like brown. Looking at the scarves she and William were wearing I did wonder if they were Christmas presents.

The Queen looked lovely in red but no one else really stood out to me.

Choux · 25/12/2025 20:21

Kate’s coat choice for her final public appearance in 2025 is interesting. She also wore it for her first public appearance in 2025 when she visited the Royal Marsden hospital where she had chemotherapy in 2024. It could just be a coat which goes well with what they chose for Charlotte to wear or it could be a way of remembering that day.

Yay!
It’s brown (ish)

I said brown too 😂

KiIIingMeDeftly · 25/12/2025 20:54

Style-wise, I feel like this was one of the most underwhelming Sandringham walks in recent years. Apart from Camilla, it was all, quite literally, dull.

justasking111 · 25/12/2025 20:55

Camilla and Anne proper christmassy. Charlotte's coat beautifully cut. The others just didn't stand out for me.

smilesy · 25/12/2025 21:40

I like Catherine’s coat as I too am a fan of brown 😆. I really love Charlotte’s coat and Camilla looks great

Looking at this seasons 'in' colours dull seems to be in. Something popped up on my Instagram the other day saying bold colours are coming for 2026.

I really liked Kate's outfit - very county! The scarf looked fab. Hair and makeup on point as ever and very elegant. Thought the children looked very sweet.
Cams looked va va voom in that gorgeous red outfit!
Unfortunately didn't care for any of the other outfits, but that's what's nice about this thread, we can have different opinions based on personal taste 🥰

My favourite thread on MN is all down to us respecting each others opinions, and I love you all for that - thank you 🥰🥰

I may have had quite a lot of Baileys

locketrocket · 26/12/2025 01:56

I’ve seen a close up of Charlottes and think she looks lovely.

I’m growing to like Catherine’s outfit.

Pallisers · 26/12/2025 04:34

I really liked William's scarf.

Funnily enough I preferred Catherine's coat to what I expected to get - a green slim coat!

I agree completely with the previous poster who said Zara and Eugenie looked a bit trussed up. I often find that with Zara which is a shame because she is a lovely looking woman and when she gets it right is is amazing.

Kudos to Camilla if she brought out a new piece of jewelry (the brooch).

Maireas · 26/12/2025 08:38

Thanks for the article, @ProfessorIDareSay .
Although I think it's a bit of a stretch, it makes for interesting reading. However, I'm inclined to think that brown variants and checks are quite fashionable at the moment, Kate wanted to do a re wear, and Camilla and Anne fancied a bright cheerful red.

Camilla looked fabulous and stole the ‘fashion’ show (shallow I know). As for the others very dull, with the exception of Anne.

I thought the walk was underwhelming this year, maybe that was the vibe they wanted after this years events with AMW.

deeahgwitch · 26/12/2025 09:41

Sophie’s coat was once again too long on her.
Is that real fur on Princess Annne’s head ?

Maireas · 26/12/2025 09:47

Could be, @Hepzibar ..
My guess, @deeahgwitch ..... would be "yes".

Anne's hat reminds me of a small fur pillbox my mother had. One day hearing strange noises from her room I investigated to find my terrier killing the hat. There were lumps of fur scattered around. I quickly removed the dog and kept a low profile. She soon discovered the damage and simply glued the lumps of fur back on and continued to wear the hat as before.

ShamedBySiri · 26/12/2025 10:17

I absolutely detest Eugenie's outfit - what was she thinking, bare arms on such a cold day. But even with the addition of a sensible warm bit of knitwear or something underneath it still looks like something Sherlock Holmes would have worn for a day searching Dartmoor for the Hound of the Baskerville.

Among the re-wears, I think the smart little coat the younger Tindall child (Lena?) was wearing was previously worn by Mia. Might be wrong but I feel like I've seen it before. It's definitely worth passing down, looked very smart.

I was watching some footage on TikTok from yesterday. They attract some right old odd bods outside the church, clinging onto Kate’s hand and shoving crap at the kids. Loons.

Was it always as big a “thing” with people attending? I guess the people who go get something from it but I can’t imagine wanting to spend my Christmas Day that way! Maybe it only takes up an hour or so.
