Royal Style: Hoping for Yuletide shimmer, but not too many green coats!

Evening! Just setting up the next thread in case the other one fills up!

Yes, I like Camila and Anne in the scarlet coats. I'm not keen on Eugenie's tartan caped outfit, although she definitely looked thrilled to bits, and right behind the K&Q.
As pp have said, the rest don't really stand out much, although Sophie and Louise looked nice.
It's a continuing trend to have Royal children wearing coats trimmed with velvet, I've often wondered why.

I'm not keen on Beatrice's coat either, but that's my reaction to brown, it's actually quite a flattering cut and shape and she looks good.

I don't think there's anything nice I can say about Kate's outfit today, it's a big miss from me. Should have gone with a rewear of a green coat!

I think it's a bit fussy, the check on the coat, the patterned scarf, the added detail on the hat - it doesn't tie in very well.
On another note, Anne is wearing a hat that she first wore in Canada in 1973.

I agree with you @Maireas, it’s all a bit fussy. Very autumnal colours too. I’m not keen.

I accused a boy of being on his phone in the classroom once - he wasn't, it was a mirror and he was fixing his fringe!

Kate’s outfit is horrible, so brown & drab. The styling is very old fashioned too.

I'm going to say it wasn't styled, Kate decided on a re wear coat and hat, and just added the scarf.

I also have an alpaca teen. He's conscious of his hairline apparently 😂

Yes I think Kate looks like she’s just thrown something on rather than styled it . To be fair, I look like that all the time . Thrown together I mean not “ country tartan”

Perhaps, as pp have said, just not styled. She's still a very elegant and attractive woman.

It’s a bit how an older lady would dress two decades ago. I don’t think the hairstyle helps, it’s all just very old fashioned. Frump may be too harsh though!

I really liked Kate's outfit - very county! The scarf looked fab. Hair and makeup on point as ever and very elegant. Thought the children looked very sweet.
Cams looked va va voom in that gorgeous red outfit!
Unfortunately didn't care for any of the other outfits, but that's what's nice about this thread, we can have different opinions based on personal taste 🥰

It's interesting because Kate has absolutely wowed it with evening wear recently, and has looked stunning.
I do think a brown checked coat is probably hard to look good in, even for a woman like Kate, though !
