Thank you for posting that link. A lot of black and white!

Ayo Edebiri's Chanel dress was just perfect to me - gorgeous neckline, the brooches, the fall of the skirt - gorgeous.

I liked seeing how the mens' evening suit has evolved too and particularly like the way men are wearing brooches on the lapels - perfect placement for a brooch. I look forward to the day when the next male generation of Windors wear Queen Victoria's brooches with their evening clothes.

mair yes, some of the older actors really don't look like themselves. I was scrolling earlier and trying to figure out who was who.

Ironically, I did recognise the younger stars as they haven't mucked about with their faces yet. Good red carpet this year.

Yes, that was my problem! Good red carpet as you say, plenty of glamour.

Gosh, I remember Jessie from that BBC competition to find a Nancy for a new production of Oliver. And she didnt even win! She's done all right for herself, hasn't she?

That competition had some amazing talent in it - also Samantha Barks who played Eponine in the film of Les miserables, and was Elsa in Frozen in the West End. Along with Jodie Prenger, who did actually win, and has worked on stage and tv ever since.

It is great to see mens options beyond the bog standard tux, but Mark Ronson could have taken his Pac a Mac off. I don't think a kagool will ever give red carpet vibes.

Can't remember if I posted this last week or not, but it's a good look back at Charlene's style choices in 2025.

Basically, she wore a lot of good stuff! And seems to have completely recovered from the health issues she had a few years ago.

I'm not keen on the asymmetrical Dolce e Gabbana, but I love all the Elie Saab dresses, they really suit her. Elegant and not fussy.
I like the Dior outfit she wore to meet Brigitte Macron.

A few Diamond Fringe Tiaras to get us through January:

  1. Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik Tiara - a silver wedding anniversary gift to the future Queen Alexandra. I don’t think there’s a better fringe tiara out there.
  1. The Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Tiara - a family heirloom of the House of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, a German princely house. Last worn by Princess Benedikte of Denmark, the current wearer of this tiara, on January 1, 2026.
  1. The Baden Fringe Tiara - a wedding gift to Princess Victoria of Baden from her parents when she married the future King Gustav V of Sweden in 1881. Last worn by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden on December 10, 2025.
  1. The City of London Fringe Tiara - a wedding gift to Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark in 1934 on the occasion of her marriage to Prince George, Duke of Kent. This tiara was inherited by their youngest child, Prince Michael of Kent upon Princess Marina's passing. Last worn by Prince Michael's daughter, Lady Gabriella Windsor, as her bridal tiara in May 2019.
  1. Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara - crafted by Garrard jeweler, in 1919, it has been worn by three British princesses of the blood royal to their respective weddings: Princess Elizabeth (the future Queen Elizabeth II) on November 20, 1947, Princess Anne on November 14, 1973, and Princess Beatrice on July 17, 2020.
  1. Habsburg Fringe Tiara - Crafted by Austrian jeweler, Köchert, in 1890 for Infanta Maria Theresa of Portugal, the daughter of King Miguel I of Portugal. She was the wife of Archduke Karl Ludwig of Austria (younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria Hungary). Princess Marie-Caroline, granddaughter of Prince Hans-Adam II, wore this piece to her wedding on August 30, 2025.

Edit to say the numbers haven’t copied correctly but am sure you can match them to the photos.

Fabulous tiaras! I love Lady Gabriella in the City of London Fringe tiara.
I don't think I've seen the Hapsburg one.

Yes, that's such a tragic story.
She does look beautiful, very like her aunt, Princess Alexandra.

I did not know that the Ruby Tiara is Napoleonic. I like the Midnight Tiara.

I like to think I have good taste in jewels that I can't afford 😊

Mary and Letizia, both suited up and looking sharp! All three suits are good and the trouser lengths perfect.

Shall we have a look at Mary's tiara collection?
I think so 😍

That ruby parure is something else!

Those suits are great. Style and proportion, spot on.
