It can be revealed that the King and Queen will host the president of Nigeria on a state visit to the UK in March, the first such visit since 1989

In today’s Times!

Sidebeforeself · 11/01/2026 09:14

I realise it doesn’t specify a banquet but it would be unusual not to have one wouldnt it?

KiIIingMeDeftly · 11/01/2026 09:29

The clothes will be amazing if it's Nigeria!

And here’s another dress from Zara’s trip - I’m 50:50 with this one - I don’t hate it but I’m not sure about the pastel print.

And Stephanie was at an event this week - I quite like the shape of the top she’s wearing.

Zara's dress has a nice summery print. I'm not sure about Stephanie's top, maybe it's a bit casual?

Zara looks best in a pair of shorts and a skimpy top. She has amazing legs.

She does @justasking111
The navy mini looks great on her too.
I think the colour of Stephanie’s top doesn’t suit her. It washes her out iykwim

There’s a picture of her playing polo in a competition this week - she is laughing and just looks completely relaxed. And yes, she looks fab in shorts and a pair of flip flops!

Eaumyword · 12/01/2026 07:23

Love that red summer dress on Zara and also the cream based floral one. Agree the brown crossbody bag looks strange - a clutch might have been better, but less practical I suppose.

Not royal, at all, but there were some lovely dresses at the Golden Globes:

Best-dressed on the Golden Globes red carpet: our fashion editor’s verdict.

Some lovely pictures. The last awards ceremony was blah. Glad to see some real glamour last night.

Fake tan seems to be out as well

Maireas · 12/01/2026 09:01

I like Selena Gomez's and Jennifer Garner's dresses. Some old fashioned glamour on show instead of just the usual clickbait outfits.

Thank you for the link to the Golden Globes @PoppySeedBagelRedux
I’m delighted Jessie Buckley won ( haven’t seen Hamnet yet though ) the Best Actress in a film as I’m Irish.
You wouldn’t know she’d won from all the Golden Globes coverage in the Daily Mail app - I can’t find it.

Maireas · 12/01/2026 10:06

Jessie Buckley looks fantastic, she had a baby only a few weeks ago, so the pressure on her must have been enormous.

Gosh, I remember Jessie from that BBC competition to find a Nancy for a new production of Oliver. And she didnt even win! She's done all right for herself, hasn't she?

Maireas · 12/01/2026 11:43

She has! Just shows you.

There’s that old saying - “Talent will out”
And so it has with Jessie.
Her dress was Dior apparently.
It was a lovely colour, pale blue and she’s gone blonde.

Eaumyword · 12/01/2026 15:29

Great to see some glamour!
My fave looks are:
Claire Danes
Ayo Edebiri
Jennifer Garner
Tessa Thompson

Maireas · 12/01/2026 15:42

I love Tessa Thompson's dress as well, so glamorous.

Jessie was on Graham Norton a few weeks ago. I watched on catch-up. She really is a natural lovely actress.

Maireas · 12/01/2026 16:25

I'm glad they identified who each person was, because I didn't recognise some of the new faces.... 😉
