Evening! Just setting up the next thread in case the other one fills up!

Just to revert for a moment, my C of E church when I lived in London was high church and mass was sometimes used. The Christmas Eve service was always known as Midnight Mass. Mass is a service that is centred on the Eucharist otherwise known as Holy Communion.

My nephew once opined that he felt very sorry for Granny "because of having to go to Midnight Maths".

My mother was at that time the village church organist...

Kate's State Banquet looks.
I loved the Philippa Lepley gold number.

I have a set of kings and Queens Christmas decorations . I'd quite like a set of Kate evening dress decorations too. They are beautifully made if not to everyone's taste.
If I was at a state banquet I would definitely have something dripped down myself and would need sponged!

Is the white one you speak of @Sidebeforeselfthe dress she wore in June 2019 at a ball for the Trumps. Designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander Mc Queen ?
It looks like a dress for a doll that hides a loo roll that would be found in Hyacinth Buckets downstairs toilet.

I'm not keen on either Alexander McQueen gown, the grey ruched or the white tiered one.
The Nov 22 caped white one is so elegant, and the fit 👌

I only like the Phillipa Lepley out of that lot. The loo roll cover is bizarre…

I’m the outlier here - I loved the white dress Kate wore to the first Trump state visit. I thought it was a brilliant look, and it reminded me of one of my favourite Mette-Marit gowns. I’m clearly a sucker for a simple coloured gown where the texture is the only real feature of interest! It also works really well with all the orders.

It's not to my taste, but Mette Marit does look lovely there.
I hope her current treatment is working 🙏

Some looks I'd forgotten about.

I absolutely love the gold dress she wore to the Trump state banquet, I thought it was perfect.

That was stunning. I'm still waiting for a Bond re wear.

Some of those dresses are just lovely. And I was surprised by how many of the day outfits I liked in the Telegraph link - the grey and pink blouse, the ralph lauren skirt outfit, the trousersuits - really smart. But her hair was a big disappointment to me this year. I would love to see that gold dress from the state banquet with her hair up.

one of my favourite seasonal outfits from Kate was the white outfit she wore to her carol concert in 2023. Especially since we now know she was t very well but she looked radiant

Oh yes, I remember that Spanish wedding. I thought the groom was the father of the bride at first! And his ex is the infamous Genoveva Casanova, which shows just how small these aristocratic circles are.

That's right. The bride is lovely, though. We also get a mention of one of the Bourbon- Two- Sicilies, surely one of the best aristocratic titles.
