I’ve fallen out of love with Vinted

Since the ladies size debacle I’ve completely lost interest in Vinted. I’ve gone from buying 3-4 things a week to absolutely nothing, all due to the change in sizes descriptions.

Today I thought I’d have a go and look for a jacket, I’m a standard uk12, but now I have to search 10-12, everything I liked was a 10, or a tiny size that’s ended up in the category since the changes.

I really can’t be bothered with it anymore and I’m sad about that as I had so many great purchases over the years.

Anyone else also given up on Vinted?

But people were always complaining about the sizes before because a small was a size 6 and a large was only a size 12. They’ve fixed that and people are still complaining! It seems like they can’t win!

Because they've "fixed" it with a different but equally useless system.

It's baffling because it would be so easy to just list all the sizes and let you choose what's on the label. That is what people want to know and be able to search for.

I was looking last night for ski kit & other stuff.

Sizing is properly crazy - XL's listed as 12, S listed as 14-16. All sizing a complete random nightmare & that is before getting into what those sizes on the label even mean for that particular brand or item.

Unless there is a photo of the size label on the garment I won't even consider it - its a bloody hot mess that is what it is.

Vinted is not fit for purpose.

Headline - "Ladies Ski Bundle UK size 12-14"

Listing details - "Ski bundle Size 10z"

Make it make sense!

If it was UK 12-14 I would have bought it. No photos of sizes/labels on garments.

What size is it?

Its only good for shoes now. And I did just get perfume.
Maybe ebay will make a comeback

I agree. I used to love it - almost too much - so I’m quite glad it’s stopped being good as it is saving me a lot of money. Everything seems to be much more expensive suddenly too. Vintage things that used to be a real bargain, aren’t any more and it feels like it’s trying to become a slick engagement-led machine rather than an online Sunday market - it’s lost its shine for me completely.
